Tesco Clubcard shoppers can get DOUBLE points using the app until March

TESCO Clubcard users who download the app can get double points until March 1.

The supermarket is running a promotion where anyone who scans their app at the till will automatically get twice as many points.

Don't panic if you try it and the points don't appear immediately – Tesco says that it will take a week for them to show up.

The offer applies to both Clubcard and Clubcard Plus customers.

But Tesco has warned that Clubcard Plus customers need to scan the app as well as their Big Shop coupon or they will miss out.

You'll need to keep your wits about you at the till and make sure you don't accidentally use your physical club card.

The bonus is only available if you scan it via the app, so you won't get it if you use your card, fob or other phone apps such as Apple or Android wallet or loyalty card aggregators.

The Clubcard app is available for free for both iPhone and Android users.

  • Cafe
  • Lottery products
  • Prescription medicines

Tesco is encouraging people to download its Clubcard app.

Through the app you can collect and keep track of points as well as scan vouchers and coupons.

It can also be used to turn points into Faster Vouchers within 24 hours and triple the value of vouchers when spending with Reward Partners.

Tesco recently reminded Clubcard customers to check their Clubcard app account and redeem any vouchers before they expire.

The supermarket says around £17million worth of vouchers will run out on February 29.

Clubcard vouchers come with an expiry date of two years, so if you don't use them before this point then you'll lose them.
