The Chase viewers were left with their jaws on the floor on Wednesday afternoon as contestant Jacob shared his job role.
Host Bradley Walsh welcomed four new players to the show and the cheeky presenter was eager to see them get through to the final with some money in-hand.
As usual, each of the contestants introduced themselves at the start of the programme.
Fans couldn't believe it when 21-year-old Jacob revealed that he's an alpaca breeder.
Viewers rushed to their keyboards to discuss the shock occupation on social media.
Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: "Did he say alpaca breeder or am I having a stroke?"
A second person posted: "Alpaca breeder!! Unusual job klaxon!"
While a third said: "An alpaca breeder..there’s a first.."
Another added: "Did that young lad say he's an alpaca breeder?? Thats awesome ."
"For a show that used to attract teachers and police officers, The Chase now seems to be natural territory for llama farmers and alpaca breeders," a fifth social media user wrote.
Darragh Ennis, aka The Menace, was in the hot seat trying to prevent the hopefuls from going home with the cash prize.
Mohsen, Sandra, Selin and Jacob all took it in turns to take on the cash builder and later went head-to-head with The Menace in an intense round of general knowledge questions.
Alpaca breeder Jacob from Norfolk was the fourth person to take on the tough quiz show and Bradley was eager to find out more about his unique occupation.
The contestant explained: "I have an alpaca farm with 20 alpacas and seven of them are pregnant for this year.
"We won the most successful small breeder at the biggest show in Europe."
