This Morning fans annoyed as phone keeps going off during interview

This Morningviewers weren’t pleased that a phone kept going off during an interview on the show on Friday morning.

Alison Hammond, 46, and Dermot O’Leary, 48, were chatting to a former police officer and the man who shot him, when viewers were distracted by the undeniably annoying notification sounds.

The phone owner received a barrage of notifications at the time, which sounded like a mixture of both WhatsApps and Facebook messages.

The faux-pas and noise didn’t go unnoticed by viewers, who took to social media to express their annoyance.

“@thismorning what is it with the phone keeps pinging whilst talking to levroy and james,” wrote one person.

“@thismorning please get the guy to turn his phone off!,” penned another.

“The guest on This Morning not putting his phone on silent has me gagging,” wrote a third.

Meanwhile, another viewer said that they kept mistaking the notification noises for their own phone.

Someone else said: “What’s unbelievable is that one of these people hadn’t put their phone on silent! #thismorning”.

Another disgruntled viewer penned: “Imagine not turning your phone off before you go on telly.”

Live TV is often filled with blunders, and sometimes even the professionals make a mistake – Alison Hammond included.

Earlier this month,Alison accidentally called guest chef Juliet Sears the wrong name , sparking Juliet to correct her.

Talking to the camera, Alison said: “And the Christmas decorations have only just come down, but some supermarkets – would you believe it – are already stocking up for Easter, so Juliet Sears is here to help you make the most of those seasonal chocolate goodies.

“What have you got for us today Julia?”

Juliet quickly corrected Alison saying: “Well, Juliet actually.”

The former Big Brother star then grimaced at the screen in embarrassment as Dermot chuckled.

Alison apologised for her faux-pas, before Juliet proceeded to reveal her delicious-sounding cookie recipe.

Meanwhile, Matthew Wright, who’s often a guest on the programme, was left red facedafter being caught shouting at his family.

Moments into his chat with Rochelle Humes, Phillip Schofield and Camilla Tominey, Matthew was spotted saying “upstairs please” to a family member who evidently came into the room during his segment.

“We've got Matthew there who has finished shouting at his family now to keep quiet,” Phillip quipped afterwards.

“We caught you,” he added.
