This Morning viewers have slammed a "pointless" harvest moon phone-in on Monday's show and described it as "absolute tosh".
Today's episode (September 20) of the ITV daytime series saw presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby welcome moon mentor Kirsty Gallagher to conduct a phone-in based on tonight's harvest moon and what it means for viewers.
The harvest moon is said to be the most important full moon of the year and marks the end of summer and is believed to be a turning point in people's lives.
A phone-in based on the moon was then conducted by Kirsty, with viewers deeming it a "wind-up" and "absolute tosh".

One viewer wrote: "Is this actually serious on This Morning? People asking this woman for advice based on the moon: surely a wind-up?"
Another commented: "Am I really to take this speech about a harvest moon seriously?"
A third disgruntled viewer said: "Like jobs , relationships & 'situations' don't occur at any other time of year."
Meanwhile, a fourth wrote: "People don’t actually believe this stuff, do they?"
"What a load of absolute tosh!" a fifth skeptical viewer concluded.

Explaining the significance of the harvest moon, Kirsty said: "A full moon which we have tonight [means] completion, where we complete on what we wanted and also it's the highest emotional point of the lunar cycle so we can blame that for all the arguments in relationships."
Kirsty then recommended viewers put any crystals they have out in the full moon.

Asked why by Phil, she replied: "Because it will cleanse and charge them, so the light and energy of the moon will cleanse your crystals and also recharge them."
She later added: "It's a real moon that helps us to clear out what's been in the way and what we've put off and helps us to kind of look forward and illuminate what we want."
Kirsty also recommended viewers take part in a 'burning ritual', where the participant would write down what's been holding them back on paper and then safely burn the paper before dropping it into something fireproof.
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV.
