Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen Rented Derek Jeter's House For an Estimated $75,000 a Month

In the world of sports, renowned football player Tom Brady is still going strong. The NFL star has won several Super Bowl games throughout his career. Currently, he is married to model Gisele Bündchen. Fans consider them to be a power couple.

Last year, Brady and Bündchen moved to Tampa, Florida. Legendary retired baseball player Derek Jeter helped them find a play to stay. He rented out his home to the couple for a large sum.

Brady and Gisele Bündchen built successful careers

In high school, Brady was a talented football player. He served as the starting quarterback during college. The athlete would join the NFL and get drafted by the New England Patriots in 2000. However, he served as the backup quarterback.

During the 2001 season, Brady got the chance to show his strength when the team’s starting quarterback got injured. He continued to have a successful career for two decades even after experiencing a knee injury. He earns millions every year but is not the highest-paid athlete in the NFL.

Bündchen is a Brazilian model and businesswoman. In 1996, she started her modeling career on the New York City’s Fashion Week runway. Soon after, she became a popular model. Bündchen appeared on numerous magazine covers and became one of the highest-paid models in the world.

Brady and Bündchen have been married since 2009 and have two children together. They moved to Tampa in 2020 because Brady had signed a contract to play for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers early that year. He changed teams after spending 20 seasons with the New England Patriots.

Derek Jeter was a skilled baseball player before retiring

Jeter is a former professional baseball player who grew up in Michigan. In high school, he played basketball and baseball. The aspiring athlete wanted to become a Major League Baseball player for the New York Yankees. He got his wish when the Yankees drafted him in 1992.

In the beginning, Jeter was a Minor League Player but joined Major League Baseball in the following years. In 2001, the athlete signed a 10-year contract with the Yankees. The deal was worth $189 million and took a year to negotiate. Jeter had another one-year contract in 2013.

After 20 years with the Yankees, Jeter retired from baseball in 2014. However, he did not stay away from the sport for long. The former athlete purchased the Miami Marlins for $1.6 billion a few years later. Now, he serves as the team’s CEO.

As it turns out, Jeter is familiar with Brady, both of whom have played for the Wolverines. The two have been friends for years, and Jeter likely got to know Bündchen as well.

Derek Jeter rented his home to Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen in Tampa

As mentioned before, Brady, Bündchen, and their two children relocated to Tampa. When they did, the family did not have to worry about finding a house to furnish quite yet. According to Observer, they moved into Jeter’s home in Davis Islands.

Jeter rented out his compound to the football player and his family. The home is 30,000 square feet in size and has seven bedrooms. Naturally, the price to stay there is not low. Reportedly, the couple pays approximately $75,000 a month. Many people cannot fathom having to pay that much for rent.

Brady did not seem to mind it, especially since he had to find a place to stay on short notice. The athlete explained he thought renting was nice. He joked that they “get all of the benefits with none of the responsibility.”

Unlike Brady and Bündchen’s previous mansion in Massachusetts, their new residence is not as private. Boats can show up near their backyard. Other than the lack of privacy, the couple seems to enjoy the home.
