TOWIE’s Shelby Tribble shares health update after being readmitted to hospital
TOWIE star Shelby Tribble has shared a health update with fans after confirming she had been readmitted to hospital days after giving birth to her first child.
The model, 27, welcomed a baby boy with boyfriend Sam Mucklow last week, and was initially permitted to return home with the newborn.
However, after her high blood pressure proved a cause for concern, Shelby was readmitted to Romford hospital for treatment, receiving monitoring from doctors.
Shelby is suffering from pre-eclampsia, which is a medical condition that causes high blood pressure during pregnancy and after labour.
Opening up to her fans on Thursday, the ITVBe star confessed she isn't having "an easy ride" post-pregnancy and thanked her followers for their messages of support.
She said: "To every single person that has messaged me and are continuing to: family, friends, and all you lovely people, thank you so much. I am sooo overwhelmed by all the love, support, and kindness.
"It's really made me feel so special. It's so difficult for me to respond to everyone individually, it would take me too long to reply to you all but just know I've read and I am grateful for every single message sent to me."
The reality star, who left the cast of TOWIE in early 2019, discussed the medical treatment she was receiving in the ward, which included medication and regular consultations.
She said: "I'm not having an easy ride and still have to be monitored daily and I'm taking so many different mediations and vitamins, I could probably open my own pharmacy at this rate. I'm rattling as I walk.
"But I've got all the best family and professionals around to look after me and get me back to full health."
Shelby assured fans she would share a photo of their newborn baby soon, making it clear she was delighted to become a mum for the first time.
"Baby boy is doing really well we will reveal him to you soon. He doesn't even realise how in demand he is haha… can't wait to tell him when he's older," she said.
"Me and Sam can't thank you all enough for being so kind towards us and showing so much love to our new little family unit. I hope everyone who has contacted me will get to read this., love to you all from the three of us."
Sam and Shelby announced they were expecting their first child together back in May, unveiling the baby's gender with a colour-themed party.
Breaking the news to her fans at the time, she said: "Something fantastic is making us glad, we're changing our names to Mum and Dad".
Both Shelby and Sam quit TOWIE last year, hoping to pursue their relationship away from the cameras and the drama of the show.
