Two ‘wonky’ postboxes go viral as people can’t work out which stands straight
Which one of these postboxes is wonky? A picture of two red pillar-boxes has left Brits scratching their heads.
The postboxes stand on a steep pavement at Park Street in Bristol – but as they’re on an incline, they look a little lopsided.
Passers-by can’t figure out which one of the pillar boxes is actually standing up straight.
While one can be seen leaning to the right, the other is in line with buildings on the street but skewed in relation to the pavement.
According to Birmingham Live, people got into serious debate about the illusion on Facebook.
One social media user commented: "Totally opinion. One is in line with floor. Other is in line with buildings."
A second said: "Consensus in our house, after heated and lengthy debate, is that the one on the left is definitely the wonky one.
"However, one serious question was raised – why on earth are there two post boxes next to each other?"
A third added: "I like to think one is leaning in for a hug."
And a fourth joked: "Right is for all mail to destinations within UK, left for all mail to Italy."
