Wildest Vegas weddings from Britneys 55hr union to Kim Kardashians at 19

Las Vegas has long been known for its quick and easy weddings. In fact on average 120,000 people choose Vegas as their wedding destination every single year so Britney, Kim and Kourtney are not that unusual with their choice!

The typical Vegas wedding is small, spontaneous and fuss free. Many couples opting to marry with just a few friends present, or even with just two strangers as witnesses. You can literally turn up in the middle of the night and get married. In fact you don't even need to get out of your car, with a drive through wedding being a genuine option!

Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker may have surprised fans with reports of their Sin City nuptials, but they're not the first celeb couple to get hitched in Vegas.

We take a look at some of the most famous celebrity weddings – Vegas style.

Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker

Within a few hours of Travis' Grammy's appearance the loved up couple are said to have taken advantage of being in Las Vegas and got married. The couple wed in true vegas style, with an Elvis impersonator!

Lily Allen and David Harbour

Pop star Lily Allen and Stranger Things actor David Harbour married in the Graceland Wedding Chapel in Vegas back in 2020. 

Lily wore vintage Dior and the wedding was officiated by an Elvis impersonator. 

Marnie and Ethel, Lily's two daughters with ex husband Sam Cooper, were the only guests and the reception consisted of burgers at In-N-Out Burger.

Britney Spears and Jason Alexander

Britney and Jason were friends since childhood, but their whirlwind wedding lasted just over two days. 

They wed at A Little Wedding Chapel in Vegas but the marriage was annulled just 55 hours later. 

Jason has recently claimed that the pair wanted to stay married, but that Britney's family insisted on the annulment.

Kim Kardashian and Damon Thomas

Kim's Kardashian's first wedding was in Vegas way back in 2000 when she was just 19 years old.

Her first husband was music producer Damon Thomas and the marriage lasted just three years before ending in divorce.

Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thornton

Back in May 2000 Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thornton married in Vegas, the wedding was so spontaneous that Billy was still technically engaged to actress Laura Dern at the time. 

It wasn't a glamorous affair, with Angelia wearing a grey top and jeans, and Billy in a cap. The pair separated three years later.

Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner

Another couple who, like Kourtney and Travis, took advantage of being in Vegas for an awards ceremony and added a quick wedding to their trip. 

Joe Jonas and Game of Thrones actor Sophie chose A Little White Wedding Chapel as their venue, and of course, there was an Elvis impersonator present.

Nicolas Cage and Riko Shibata

Actor Nicolas Cage loves a wedding – he's been married five times, and has chosen Vegas as his location twice! 

The star married make-up artist Erika Koike in 2019 only to file for annulment four days later. He went on to marry his current wife, Riko Shibata, in 2021 in Vegas, too.

Bruce Willis and Demi Moore

The actors Bruce Willis and Demi Moore married in Las Vegas' Golden Nugget Hotel in 1987, just three months after they started dating. 

Their relationship lasted 11 years and the pair have three daughters, Rumer, Scout and Tallulah together. Despite their divorce, they're still said to be good friends.

Elvis Presley and Priscilla

Perhaps the most famous Vegas wedding of them all. 

Elvis met Priscilla Wagner in 1959 when he was 24 and she was just 14 years old. 

They didn't marry until 1967, when she was 21 and they had one child, Lisa Marie, who was born nine months after their wedding. The pair sadly divorced four months before Elvis' death.
