Willie Garsons orphaned son Nathen supported by SATC cast at And Just Like That premiere

The late Willie Garson’s son, Nathen, attended the And Just Like That premiere in New York where he was supported by his father’s friends and Sex And The City co-stars.

The iconic 90s sitcom’s revival has seen three of the four lead actors return; Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis.

In the wake of Willie’s tragic passing in September, the SATC veteran wasn’t able to see the revival air for himself, so his 20 year old son attended the star-studded event in his honour.

Nathen was adopted from foster care by Willie in 2009, who went on to raise him as a single parent.

Sharing photographs of his night in New York, Nathen gushed over what an “amazing” time he had.

In one picture, Nathen beamed with Sarah, Kristin and Cynthia, along with fellow SATC veteran, Chris North.

In a second photo, Nathen posed for a selfie in Times Square with his girlfriend Lexie, while the third snap showed an impressive view of the New York skyline.

Nathen wrote alongside the photos: “What a wonderful trip and what an amazing time I got to have. Thanks @justlikethatmax for a wonderful time and for inviting me to enjoy the season premiere of And Just Like That! Go check it out on HBOmax!”

The news of Willie’s passing shook SATC fans to the core, as well as the cast itself.

Willie made his debut in the hit New York-based programme in its first season, and went on to become SATC favourite.

He died of pancreatic cancer on 24 September at the age of 57.

At the time of his passing, Sarah penned a heartwarming post alongside a series of photographs of her and her late co-star over the years.

It read: “It's been unbearable. Sometimes silence is a statement. Of the gravity. The anguish. The magnitude of the loss of a 30 + year friendship.

“A real friendship that allowed for secrets, adventure, a shared professional family, truth, concerts, road trips, meals, late night phone calls, a mutual devotion to parenthood and all the heartaches and joy that accompany, triumphs, disappointments, fear, rage and years spent on sets (most especially Carrie's apartment) and laughing late into the night as both Stanford and Carrie and Willie and SJ.”

“Willie. I will miss everything about you. And replay our last moments together. I will re-read every text from your final days and put to pen our last calls,” Sarah continued.

“Your absence a crater that I will fill with blessing of these memories and all the ones that are still in recesses yet to surface.”

Sarah went on to send her “deepest sympathies and condolences” to Nathen whom she described as “the light of Willie's life”.

She added that being a father was his “greatest achievement”.
