Britney Spears putting ‘finishing touches’ on new book<\/h3>\n

Britney Spears got a lot of heat for a series of videos where she was dancing with knives, and it seems she is now taking a break from the drama on an island getaway with five male friends.<\/p>\n

Britney first teased the getaway in a since-deleted Instagram post earlier in the week, where she shared a video of herself flying on a private jet with the friends.<\/p>\n

That same video saw her tease a part two to her highly anticipated memoir The Woman in Me, which is set for release on October 24.<\/p>\n

That book is not expected to touch upon her recent split from husband Sam Ashgari.<\/p>\n

Before, Spears\u2019 destination was unknown, but now, it has been reported that she took off to the Brando hotel, which is located in French Polynesia.<\/p>\n

Sources told TMZ that the Piece Of Me singer took off to the hotel, which is a known spot for celebs. The resort features private villas which can cost thousands per night.<\/p>\n

The getaway came on the heels of her posting several videos with knives that she claimed were fake, but that still prompted concern from fans and even led to the cops coming to her home for a welfare check.<\/p>\n

However, Spears shared in the caption of her second knife dance video that she was simply trying to imitate fellow performer Shakira.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know I spooked everyone with the last post, but these are fake knives that my team rented from Hand Prop shop in LA,\u201d she wrote. \u201cThere are not real knives. No one needs to worry or call the police. I\u2019m trying to imitate one of my favorite performers Shakira\u2026 a performance I was inspired by!!!<\/p>\n
