A couple has sparked a debate online after revealing they deliberately argue in front of their children.<\/p>\n
Dallas-based Nika Diwa took to TikTok to share her ‘unpopular’ opinion that fighting in front of your children is perfectly ‘healthy’.<\/p>\n
The mother-of-four shared a video that showed her bickering with her husband while her daughter was in her arms.<\/p>\n
Th couple purposefully argue in front of their children because they believe it helps their children to establish skills in ‘conflict resolution’.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Her\u00a0video has since amassed over 60,000 likes, with many viewers agreeing with Nika’s opinion. However, others have taken to the comments to voice their concern.<\/p>\n

Nika realised that her opinion was ‘unpopular’ and may create controversy.<\/p>\n
However, she claimed that by arguing in front of her children, she was teaching them skills in conflict resolution.<\/p>\n
To justify her reasoning, Nika said: ‘It’s important for kids to learn how to navigate healthy conflict.’<\/p>\n
The couple let their children watch them arguing ‘respectfully’ to ‘work towards resolution and unity’.<\/p>\n
She concluded: ‘This helps them set up healthy conflict resolution as they grow up.’<\/p>\n
In the video, Nika and her partner appeared to be exchanging some cross words with two of their children present, although what they were saying wasn’t audible in the footage.<\/p>\n

The couple let their children listen to their arguments and work towards unity to teach them conflict resolution\u00a0<\/p>\n
At the end of the clip, the couple settled the matter and kissed one another.<\/p>\n
Viewers took to the comment section to share their thoughts on Nika and her husband’s decision. While some agreed with the concept, others found it concerning.\u00a0<\/p>\n
One said: ‘Man I wish my parents did this. Shows healthy communication and respect even if not agreeing.’\u00a0<\/p>\n

However, many other viewers did not view the idea so positively.\u00a0<\/p>\n
One said: ‘Do not fight in front of your kids. Yes! they are meant to think things are perfect, they are meant to only see love and adoration for each other.’<\/p>\n
A second wrote: ‘I think it depends. I have a lot of trauma from listening to my parents argue about finances.’<\/p>\n
A third added: ‘I think kids can witness disagreements\/conversations, not arguments\/fights.’<\/p>\n
