Neighbours’ Jason Donovan and Kylie Minogue return ‘sealed’ as duo ‘still open’
Neighbours returns on Monday (September 18) and there is a possibility fans could see Jason Donovan and Kylie Minogue make a comeback in the future.
The TV duo played couple Scott Robinson and Charlene Mitchell, both making their soap debut in 1986.
In February 2022 after 37 years on air, Neighbours was cancelled after producers Fremantle were unable to find a new broadcaster following Channel 5's decision to drop the long-running Aussie soap from the channel.

The season finale aired in July that same year, with an emotional episode bringing back iconic characters like Scott and Charlene.
But just four months later in a shock move, it was announced the soap would be returning with a brand new series on Amazon Freevee, with several members of the original cast also making a comeback.
Now, Daily Star has used artificially intelligent “creative” tool Bard AI to find out whether Kylie and Jason, both 55, could reprise their roles once again.
The system said: "Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan have not announced any plans to return to Neighbours since the show ended in July 2023. However, it is possible that they could make a guest appearance in the future.
"Kylie has said that she was 'miffed' by the show's return and that she only agreed to return for the finale because she thought it would be the last time. However, she has also said that she would 'remain open'."
It added: "Jason Donovan has said that he loved his time on the show, and that he would 'never say never' to duetting with Kylie again".
After hearing the news that Neighbours had been revived so shortly after it's cancellation, the singer told the hosts of Scotland's Tay F.M: "Yeah, happy is probably not the emotion.

"You know, miffed may have been the word."
She added: "But I know, talking with the producer, they genuinely didn't know [if it was coming back], so all the affection and love that went into the final episode was truth."
But it seems the Spinning Around hitmaker is still not ruling out a return.
"Ah, well, I didn't think she would before and she did," she told Amanda Holden on Heart Breakfast. "So, I'm going to remain open to that."
