Here's What Oprah Thinks Of Lil Yachty, Drake, And DaBaby's Song, 'Oprah's Bank Account'

Lil Yachty’s music video for his song “Oprah’s Bank Account,” featuring Drake and DaBaby, was the talk of social media earlier last month when it released. Now, Oprah has given her two cents about being referenced in the rap song.

‘Oprah’s Bank Account’ was released earlier this year

Lil Yachty’s “Oprah’s Bank Account” was a surprise release on March 9, 2020, as the first single from his upcoming album, Lil Boat 3. The song features an Oprah reference in the hook: “You look as good as Oprah’s bank account / I just wanna take you out.”

The music video was released on the same day. It featured Lil Yachty portraying Oprah in skits featuring both Drake and DaBaby. Director X helmed the music video.

Lil Yachty’s “Boprah” character is a hilarious riot as he taps into Oprah in her ’90s heyday à la “you get a car, you get a car, and you get a car!”

In the portion of the music video with Drake, they joke about new music and today’s rappers, specifically mumble rap, which Yachty is known for. Yachty’s Boprah asked Drake, “This new generation of music, these new rappers. The mumble rap, what do you think about it?” He responded, “Literally, writing nursery rhymes that nobody can understand. I think it’s progressive and innovative. I think at the forefront of that movement of music that should be forgotten about is Lil Yach-ee. I think that guy is just an innovator of music that should never be referenced or heard by human beings again.”

The second part of the video featuring DaBaby sees Boprah asking about the Charlotte rapper’s trademark phrase, “Let’s goooo.”

Oprah gives a thumbs up to the song

Though the song is titled “Oprah’s Bank Account,” the iconic media personality and businesswoman does not appear in the video herself and doesn’t seem to have co-signed it initially.

Fortunately for the rappers, Oprah revealed weeks after the release that she is actually a huge fan of the song. She told the Associated Press, “I love it. I love it. I loveeeeee it! Yes, I love it!”

“I haven’t seen the video,” she continued. “But it’s nice to be in a Drake song no matter what — especially for your bank account, OK!”

Maybe the other music videos from Lil Boat 3 will continue to feature Yachty’s Boprah character. If the reception to the “Oprah’s Bank Account” music video is anything to go by, the character is surely a hit.

The Voice UK’s Brooke Scullion speaks out on show return: ‘It could be Christmas’

The Voice UK has remained a popular Saturday night offering for ITV viewers as Will.i.am, Meghan Trainor, Sir Tom Jones and Olly Murs are tasked with sifting their way through some of the UK’s best singing talent. However, the show was recently dealt a blow after the live semi-final was unable to go ahead amid the coronavirus outbreak – but when will it be back?

Earlier this year, the blind auditions kicked off for the latest series of The Voice and there was a brand new face on the coaching panel – Meghan Trainor.

The four coaches had the difficult decision of gradually cutting their teams down, meaning some acts would have to say goodbye to the decision.

Last month, the knockout rounds reached their final stage with Meghan, Will, Sir Tom and Olly forced to choose which of their two acts would make it through to the live semi-final.

One person who has made it through is 21-year-old Brooke Scullion, who remains on team Meghan after a tough couple of rounds.

She blew the panel away in her knockout round with a stunning rendition of Stay by Rihanna, earning her a place in the live shows.

However, viewers will have a while to wait until they see her back on-screen after the show’s live semi-finals were forced to reschedule, with no date confirmed for their return.

A statement from ITV said: “We have taken the difficult decision to postpone until later this year The Voice UK’s live semi-final and final, which were due on air on the 28th March and 4th April.

“We are working to replace them in the schedule with some bespoke Voice specials.”

In the meantime, specials featuring some of the highlights of the show since its move to ITV have been broadcasting in its place.

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, semi-finalist Brooke revealed when the show might be back on-air.

She explained how the contestants are keeping in touch, saying: “I mean, I’m in a group chat, and we’re all like, all the semi-finalists are in it.”

Brooke went onto reveal how the show’s team have been checking up on contestants, adding: “And then they [production team] ring me constantly just to check up how I am and see if I’m staying inside and looking after yourself.

Asked whether she knew when the show would be back on air, Brooke told Express.co.uk: “They said ‘look we aim to be doing the semi-final in summer.’”

However, she noted there are still uncertainties surrounding its return, adding: “Yeah, I don’t know, like, they say Love Island is going ahead but that’s a bit more closed off than The Voice.

“So I don’t know when, It could be Christmas but look, think of the Christmas hits, you could be singing!”

“She Face-Times me, she messages me… she even brought her whole team jackets, she’s so kind!

The exciting news came nearly a month after Perry first revealed she and Bloom were expecting in the music video for her song "Never Worn White." Toward the end of the love song, the "Firework" singer unveiled her growing baby bump.

Perry later confirmed the pregnancy through her Instagram Stories, saying, "Let’s call it a reveal. I’m excited, we’re excited and we’re happy." She seemed to suggest they’re expecting a summer baby, claiming the couple would be having a "jam packed summer."

The pair, who announced their engagement on Valentine’s Day of 2019, reportedly postponed their December 2019 wedding into 2020. However, Perry and Bloom have decided to further delay their wedding, which reportedly was going to be in Japan, amid global coronavirus pandemic, according to People.

Vicky Pattison rebrands her wedding Instagram account as travel page after split from fiancé John Noble

VICKY Pattison has rebranded her wedding diet Instagram account to a travel page, 17 months after her split from fiancé John Noble.

Last night, the former Geordie Shore star revealed that she had deleted all her posts from 'VickysBridalBod' in order to use the social media account to document her travels instead.

The page, which boasts 160,000 followers, had remained largely untouched since her split from love-rat John, who she got engaged to in 2017 before splitting in 2018.

Using her time in lockdown to reflect, the 32-year-old revealed upcoming plans she has in-store for her newly-rebranded page 'VickysVacays'.

The I'm A Celeb alum's first post saw her soaking up the sun in a white swimsuit during her 2019 trip to Mexico for her sister's wedding.

In 2018, Vicky was left in tears after pictures and a video of John canoodling and grinding with a mystery woman in Dubai were revealed.

Witnesses at Billionaire Mansion club in Dubai said John wasn’t acting like a man engaged and instead spent the night flirting and being touchy feely with the mystery blonde.

A fellow party-goer said: "It was shocking to see John behaving in the way he was. He was acting like a single man and didn’t care about who saw.

"The blonde lady was sat on his lap and they looked very cosy together. He had his arms around her waist and they were grinding on the dance floor."

The pair split in November 2018. She shelved wedding plans and unfollowed him on social networks Twitter and Instagram after the Dubai video drama.

Following the scandal, the reality star documented her pain on TLC show Vicky Pattison: The Break Up in January 2019.

Despite the heartbreak, Vicky has found love again with Ercan Ramadan.

Selena Gomez Reveals Bipolar Disorder Diagnosis: “I'm Not Scared”

Selena Gomez has opened up to her very close friend about something very personal.

And, at the same time, she’s opened up to the entire world about it as well.

The artist reunited with good friend Miley Cyrus this week for an Instagram Live chat that has gone viral.

Why?

Because Gomez revealed during this discussion that she had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

“Recently, I went to one of the best mental hospitals in America, McLean Hospital, and I discussed that after years of going through a lot of different things, I realized that I was bipolar,” Gomez told Cyrus, adding:

“And so when I got to know more information, it actually helps me. It doesn’t scare me once I know it.”

Bipolar disorder is associated with episodes of mood swings, ranging from depressive lows to manic highs.

There is no known cause and treatment is typically lifelong, often involving a combination of medications and psychotherapy.

Gomez had previously said Justin Bieber mentally abused her in various ways during their time as a couple, but she talked to Cyrus about an actual mental health disorder.

This has nothing to do with Bieber.

During their chat, Cyrus and Gomez also discussed how they’ve been keeping anxiety at bay during the current Covid-19 crisis and the importance of staying connected.

“I’m just really happy that we did this new DM. It was very sweet because you just sent a butterfly emoji,” Cyrus told Selena on the show.

“And that’s enough. Connecting with people and letting them know that you’re there. A butterfly emoji is totally enough.”

Gomez then delved into all the ways she’s been dealing with her dianosis, specifically how she’s been channeling some of the challenges associated with it.

“I’ve been writing a lot. I think that that’s been helping me process what’s been going on,” said the 27-year old.

“A lot of it is connecting with people that maybe you haven’t been the greatest to that you may not have thought about.

“I feel like there’s been a lot of people I’ve gotten to do that with not necessarily saying it was bad, but just saying, ‘Hey, I hope you’re safe. I hope you’re doing okay,’ and that you know you’re on my side.

“I’m only sending you love from this end.”

The two singers and friend then chatted about mental health in general, along with donating to non-profit organizations as they social distance due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Said Selena;

“There are moments where I just have to center myself and let the thoughts come in. Sometimes I’ll write them down, and then completely just sit with, ‘What is it? What is the root of this? Why can I get to the bottom of this?’

“And it really helps me.”

In the end, both stars expressed gratitude for their talk.

And for each other.

“I’m so happy to have [had] you on the show and got to reconnect,” Cyrus concluded.

“Send me butterflies any time. When all this has moved on and we can connect, we’ll just hug.”

Kandi Burruss reveals ‘RHOA’ reunion to be filmed online

Due to the current coronavirus pandemic, several television shows have halted production, including Bravo favorite “Real Housewives of Atlanta.”

While the show is still airing Sunday nights, the season has wrapped — which typically means it’s time for the reunion. According to “housewife” Kandi Burruss, however, that reunion will be taking place online this time around.

“They let us know the other day that we are going to be … we’re going to have to do, I guess, an online type of reunion situation,” the former Xscape singer revealed on Instagram Live. She also spilled the tea on their current group chat, adding, “Some of the girls was going back and forth, you would’ve thought it had been a reunion on the text messages. I said, ‘damn! Can ya’ll save all this for the actual reunion? We don’t get paid for your text messages to be all out of pocket,’ you know what I mean? It’s a mess!”

Show executive producer and reunion host Andy Cohen tested positive for coronavirus last month, but is currently “feeling better.”

“Happy to report I’m feeling better and am returning to @radioandysxm this morning, and will try to end your day with a smile when we begin WWHL@Home tonight featuring @neneleakes @lisarinna @mrjerryo!” he posted on Instagram. “THANK YOU TO EVERYONE ON THE FRONT LINES OF COVID-19!”

Jacqueline Jossa brings a summer holiday to the house as she plays in a paddling pool with daughters Mia and Ella – The Sun

JACQUELINE Jossa brought the summer holidays to her house yesterday as she went for a dip in a paddling pool with daughters Mia and Ella.

Coronavirus lockdown might have everyone housebound, but that didn't stop Jac making the best of the situation.

Changing into her swimsuit for the garden dip, Jacqueline smiled beside her daughters as husband Dan Osborne took their pic.

She shared it on Instagram, writing: "Bringing the holiday to the home since 2020."

Dan found the situation a good laugh, posting selfies as his kids splashed around with inflatables.

The pool was a much-needed pick me up for Jacqueline, who admitted lockdown was making her feel sad.

She told fans: "I feel like I'm developing OCD while being in quarantine.

"To be fair, I've been getting more clean, house proud but it's getting a bit crazy now. Every time Ella moves a toy, I want her to put it back.

"Just for anyone who that maybe needs it, if you're sad today- I'm feeling sad. I miss my mum and my dad. I really miss the kids seeing my mum and dad as well. I really miss that

"I miss my sister and her kids, I feel like I always see them. I see them at least twice, three times a week.

"I just want to see them. I want my kids to play with her kids. It's really sad."

Last week Jacqueline she would be taking "time off" Instagram to reconnect with her husband and their two children.

The former soap star turned Queen of the Jungle called on her followers to make the most of this "natural pause" life has given us and embrace time with family.

"I had a bit of a rubbish day yesterday, thinking what is actually happening, when will we next see our nums and dads?" said Jacqueline on Instagram.

"Can we do months of this?" she asked, before admitting that she tried to make an effort by getting dressed and having a coffee.

Revealing that Dan was using the time to fall back in love with Lego and the pair had finished house chores they never previously had time for, Jac reminded fans that "it's the little things" that will help get you through.

"Life has given us a natural pause, there is nothing we can do we have to embrace this gap," she said.

Bluffer’s Guide: How to get by when the music (temporarily) dies

So all the concerts have been cancelled, hey? Yes, when the government announced their ban on public gatherings, musicians around the country had to cancel or postpone tours.

That’s a bummer. It is; not only does it mean we can’t head out and see live shows, it has also left a huge hole in the pockets of the artists, many of whom rely on touring to make a buck. In Australia, the industry has reported more than $300 million of lost income from gigs being cancelled.

So what am I supposed to do with my evenings and weekends now? Apart from reminisce about the rad live music you've seen over your life? The good news is artists gonna art so there’s loads of ways online to catch your favourite artist live(ish) during the lockdown.

Like what? Well, one of my favourite things to do is go down a YouTube rabbit hole and create my own mini concerts. And of one of the best bits is you can skip any songs you don't like. Top picks include Gang of Youths’ super spunky Dave Le’aupepe at Splendour in the Grass on repeat or Christine and the Queens entire Glastonbury set, which I can’t recommend that highly enough.

I want something I haven’t seen before, are there any good ones? Heaps! A particularly great way to kill about 11 hours is the iHeart Living Room Concert. Elton John hosts from his living room and beams into the living rooms of everyone from Lizzo, Billie Eilish, Backstreet Boys to Mariah Carey, H.E.R and Demi Lovato. Alicia Keys even bashes out a rendition of her new single Underdog on her purple piano. Sure some of these aren’t exactly live, but it is a fun show.

So who started this whole gig at home craze? Chris Martin kicked off the Instagram Live gigs, which led to the #TogetherAtHome movement. Since then John Legend, Charlie Puth, Lennon Stella and even our own Guy Sebastian have joined in. You can watch them all by searching #TogetherAtHome on YouTube. The Global Citizen Twitter account is a good source to find what is coming up.

What about here in Australia? Oh, we have plenty, too. The Sydney Opera House is releasing some of its contemporary music shows on YouTube, including Missy Higgins' 2019 Valentine's Day concert, which was brilliant live and nearly as good in the recorded version. They will announce new digital offerings each Tuesday.

The good people behind Isol-Aid Festival are curating weekly Instagram Live line-ups with the kind of acts you might have seen at Bluesfest or Splendour. Jeremy Neale and Didirri were major highlights the first weekend, while today you can catch Sally Seltmann, Ella Hooper and Hockey Dad. Plus the artists are all encouraging people to donate to Support Act to provide much needed mental health and financial support to struggling Aussie artists.

That’s a good point, how else can I support these artists? If you had a ticket to a gig that has been cancelled, hold onto it as a memento and consider it a donation. If their dates have been postponed, jump on and buy your way into the new show. Failing that, get out your credit card and order some merch. Sure it may seem expensive, but that mark-up is going to the artists you love to ensure they can eat and keep making the music you love. Plus, when you wear their T-shirt it will be like they are giving you a big warm hug.

Is Chris Paul Married and Does He Have Any Kids?

There’s no question that Chris Paul is one of the top points guards in the last 20 years of the NBA. But aside from being a great basketball player, Paul is also killing it off the court with his family.

What exactly is the star guard’s family situation? Is he married, and does he have any kids? While his prowess on the hardwood is well documented, his family life isn’t as widely known. Here’s what we know about whether Chris Paul is married and whether he has any kids.

Is Chris Paul married?

According to Essence Magazine, in 2011 Paul married his high school sweetheart, Jada Crawley. The two attended rival high schools and despite a one-year age difference, they found a way to make it work. On their wedding day, Vera Wang designed the bride’s gown while Ralph Lauren provided the tux for the groom.

By all accounts, the two have a strong marriage based on a relationship they’ve had since they were young. Here’s what she had to say about her partner in crime:

“Our relationship has been a progression. I feel safe with Chris. He’s very protective.”

For Paul, his love for his wife goes beyond his love of the game. Paul stated, “I truly love Jada; she has been there for the ups and the downs. Basketball isn’t going to last forever. Jada and I love spending time with each other, genuinely.”

One reporter tracked down Paul and Crawley on the red carpet for the BET Awards. She asked the two if there were any couples they emulate. Both Crawley and Paul referred to Paul’s parents for their long-lasting marriage so obviously full of love as a great model and inspiration.

Does Chris Paul have any kids?

Paul and his wife’s wedding ceremony included their two-year-old son, Chris II (also known as Lil’ Chris). They had a special message for their son on their big day:

“We never knew it was possible to love someone as much as we love each other until you came into our lives.”

The couple added a second child, their daughter Camden, in 2012. Paul enjoys spending time with his children. He got an opportunity to do so at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards several years back when he was “slimed.”

Paul is a lucky man with a beautiful family, but how does he balance the demands of his NBA career with being a great parent?

How Chris Paul manages the stress of NBA life with having a family

One way Paul manages to be a great parent and husband is through sheer proximity. Though he’s been traded several times during his illustrious career, he’s never let his family stay far away from him. He told Sports Illustrated as much in an interview:

“I remember when Chauncey [Billups] came to the Clippers, his wife and kids were in Denver…I’ll never forget, I was in L.A. with my family, my brother and his wife. I told my wife that ain’t never going to be my story. She said, ‘You know, that’s right, whatever team you go to, tell them you have a plus-three.’ Whatever team I go to, I can’t be myself without my wife and kids.”

For Paul, it’s about prioritization. Though he strives to win a title, he doesn’t let it consume him or distract him from being the best parent and husband he can be. According to Paul, “If one day I can sit over here and say I got me a championship ring but I’ve been the worst parent, somebody got their priorities all messed up.”

Paul may not be quite the player he was in his prime, though he’s still very effective for being in his mid-30s. But it’s apparent that his ability as a husband and father has not diminished at all. If anything, they’ve only strengthened.
