Pete Wicks cries ‘don’t leave me’ as he admits fears for Sam Thompson bromance
Pete Wicks admitted he was concerned Sam Thompson might replace him during his time on I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! – days before he was crowned King Of The Jungle.
The duo have been friends for around six years, and Pete had flown out to Australia to support his best mate in the jungle. But in an episode of their podcast, Staying Relevant, which was released last week, Pete shared his concerns.
The TOWIE star was speaking to Sam's girlfriend and stand-in host Zara McDermott, and the Made In Chelsea star's mum Karen Thompson. The trio were discussing how Sam's time in the jungle might go, with Pete suggesting people would cling on to Sam for his entertainment factor.

"I think he may have some fake friends, not real ones like me," he said. He went on: "I'll be absolutely gutted if he gets a new bromance, I'm not even joking.
"That's the thing I'm most worried about," he added, pretending to cry. "If he finds someone better than me… I'm just saying. He's gonna leave me behind."
Love Island beauty Zara joked: "He might, but you've just got to be ready for it." Sam's mum Karen said: "He'll never leave you behind Pete."
Pete pretended to sulk and shed a tear, as he went: "It's fine. Don't leave me!"
However he was clearly joking, as he admitted he was hoping Sam would find a close friend. He predicted it would be Danielle Harold or Josie Gibson.
As the series went on though, it was clear Sam was closest to JLS singer Marvin Humes and boxer Tony Bellew. Sam reached the final with Tony, with Tony coming out as runner-up.
On Friday night's episode (December 8), Sam and Pete had an emotional reunion in the jungle. They were then reunited again after Sam's victory, with Pete looking incredibly emotional over his best friend's victory.
Pete also shared a photo of Sam on his throne with his crown and sceptre. He wrote: "Honestly mate I couldn't be prouder of you… King Of The Jungle."
