Piers Morgan brutally criticised Oprah Winfrey after she admitted to using a weight loss drug to aid her weight loss journey.
The TV host’s dramatic transformation was questioned by fans after the emergence of the semiglutide injection Ozempic, which had taken Hollywood by storm.
In a recent interview, the 69-year-old confirmed she added a “medically approved prescription” to her regimen of regular exercise.
Oprah stated: “The fact that there’s a medically approved prescription for managing weight and staying healthier, in my lifetime, feels like relief, like redemption, like a gift.
“And not something to hide behind and once again be ridiculed for, I’m absolutely done with the shaming from other people and particularly myself.”

While Oprah was optimistic about her new approach to weight loss, TalkTV host Piers Morgan slammed her in a rage-fuelled debate.
Speaking to journalist Ernest Owens, the broadcaster stated: “In mid-September, Oprah Winfrey told the world ‘I am doing it the hard way, I’m not going to touch those drugs’ and it now turns out she was lying… She lied.”
Piers continued: “Let’s remind everyone that Oprah is an ambassador for WeightWatchers, more than a million new members joined in one year because of her.
“She makes gazillions from her 10 percent in the company and WeightWatchers, last time I checked, is not about taking a drug called Ozempic.”

To which Piers claimed: “Diabetics are going to end up not being able to get the crucial drugs they need because Oprah Winfrey fans are going to go out in their hundreds and thousands and now try and emulate her weight loss using this drug.”
Although the drug was initially created for those living with diabetes, many have begun using it after it was revealed the drug could aid weight loss.
A-listers including Sharon Osbourne, Elon Musk, Amy Schumer and Tracy Morgan have all admitted to using Ozempic as a tool to help shed pounds.
