Coleen Rooney told Wayne ‘I can’t carry on’ after antics with other women

Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story official trailer

Coleen Rooney has spoken of the moment she told Wayne Rooney “I just can’t carry on” following his antics with other women.

After previously hitting headlines with his infidelity, Wayne was caught driving home Laura Simpson after a boozy night in 2017.

At the time, the former footballer was pulled over by the police and arrested on suspicion of drink-driving.

Following the highly-publicised moment, Coleen admits she was left “heartbroken” and told Wayne: “I just can’t carry on.”

According to The Mirror, the showdown is revealed in her new documentary Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story.

She explains: “It was just sickening. I’ve had that feeling in my stomach a few times and I’d never wish anyone to feel that.

“You do think, ‘Do I actually know this person?’ when things like that happen… you’re not the person I married and you’re not the person I want you to be.”

She adds: “Wayne wanted it all to go back to normal but it wasn’t as easy as that. I was still mad and I just didn’t know what the future was for us as a couple.

“I said to him, ‘I just can’t carry on with this’.”

Speaking of the moment himself, Wayne acknowledged that driving another girl’s car didn’t “look great” but said he doesn’t remember speaking to the girl.

“So there was never any talk of anything happening, or going to happen,” he added.

“I knew Coleen was the girl you wanted to marry, to have kids with and spend the rest of my life with.

“To put myself in a position where I can almost throw that away is so silly and stupid of me and it’s not what I want at all.”

Wayne and Coleen got together when they were teenagers and married back in 2008.

Together, they share four sons: Kai, 13, Klay, 10, Kit, seven, and Cass, five.

In the documentary, Coleen also details her highly-profile court case against fellow WAG Rebekah Vardy.

Wayne’s wife accused Rebekah of passing stories about her to The Sun newspaper back in 2019, a claim she has always denied.

The pair battled out their sides in court which resulted in Jamie Vardy’s wife losing her libel case against Coleen last year.

Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story hits Disney+ on Wednesday.
