EastEnders’ Theo ‘accomplice’ unmasked as fans spot ‘clue’ star is returning

EastEnders' Theo Hawthorne has widened his target area after initially going after Stacey Slater.

Stacey denied Theo's advances and after finding out he was her mystery client, he's upped his focus and has been stalking the Walford favourite. But fans are convinced that the storyline might have an even darker twist.

Theo made it clear on Monday night's episode that Stacey isn't the only person he's targeting in Walford, with links to Eve and Freddie popping up on his phone. His screen showed that he had multiple fake Facebook accounts – including for people who were dead.

Alongside his own account, Theo had Stacey, Eve's dead sister, Bradley Branning and Freddie's biological dad Graham Slater. Taking aim at the Slaters, fans are now convinced there is another person who is trying to cause trouble for them.

As fans took to social media to discuss Theo's secret profiles, one user wrote: "He's defo out to get the Slaters but why?" To which someone responded: "He's got someone helping him. I've heard rumours it's a previous character from the square that has something against Stacey."

While a lot of theories in recent months have suggested it could be Ruby who is working with Theo, others are now debating it could be Max Branning. Backing their theory, one user said: "I think Theo will pose as Max and then bring him back to Walford."

Another said: "I'd love to see someone like Ruby, Max, Dean or Kheerat, with Stacey thinking it's Theo posing (again). And then actually the person themselves, resulting in a return. Either out of confusion or worry for her and other circumstances."

As viewers flocked to say Max could be Theo's accomplice, they suggested his return could follow his on-screen daughter coming back to Albert Square. Which was confirmed just last week.

With a long history in relation to the Slaters, Max could return to cause chaos on Albert Square – particularly as he is going to have some scandals when he returns. Max is still unaware that he has another daughter in Walford, and with Lauren Branning's (Jacqueline Jossa) return it won't be too long until he finds out.

It's unclear when Lauren is returning, but EastEnders boss Chris Clenshaw confirmed she won't be the only Walford favourite returning.
