EMMERDALE fans have worked out a horror twist for Belle Dingle after Tom King was rocked by a suspicious death.
Belle was shocked to recently discover that her boyfriend's mother, Colleen King had died.
She has since tried to be a supportive girlfriend and get Tom to open up about how he's feeling, but he's continuously pushed her away.
It isn't the first time Tom has shut Belle out when something bad has happened to him, and now some Emmerdale fans think it's because he has something sinister to hide.
Taking to X – formerly Twitter – one fan wrote: "I can’t for the life of me understand why Belle hasn’t clocked that there’s something completely off about Tom! #Emmerdale.”
Another added: “Tom makes me swear. Get rid. Bad idea to reintroduce him in the first place #Emmerdale.”

A fellow viewer agreed, writing “Tom’s mum murdered maybe? Belle watch out you’re in trouble!”
Tom came back to the eponymous village earlier this year after a decade in Saudi Arabia and rekindled his romance with former girlfriend Belle (Eden-Taylor Draper).

By returning to Emmerdale, Thomas also had the opportunity to get back in touch with his uncle Jimmy, although this was no easy feat.
And while tensions emerged between Jimmy and Thomas, things between the lad and Belle were off to a good start.
But when Thomas was mugged, beaten and his car was stolen, cracks began to appear as his shifty behaviour left soap viewers and Belle wondering if he was hiding something.
However, in upcoming scenes, the couple take their relationship to the next level, as Tom proposes to Belle.
Fans will have to wait and see if and what he's hiding from Belle.
