Emmerdale star admits ‘door is still open’ as he discusses exit storyline
Lorraine: Interview with Emmerdale actor Joe-warren Plant
Joe Warren-Plant, who plays Jacob Gallagher in Emmerdale, appeared on the latest instalment of Lorraine to discuss what is in store for the Yorkshire-based serial drama as Super Soap Week looms.
The actor has been part of a dramatic storyline this week after his character suffered a severe allergic reaction to nuts on Monday’s instalment of the soap.
He was rushed to hospital, with his stepdad David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden) at his bedside when he woke up.
However, the plot thickened when an apologetic Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) paid the youngster a visit.
She blamed herself for Jacob’s allergic reaction as she was the caterer at the event where he went into anaphylactic shock.

Viewers ended having a shock of their own on Tuesday night’s episode when it was revealed the pair had been secretly messaging one another – and it appeared Jacob had romantic feelings for Victoria.
This could cause some serious friction within the village as Victoria used to be in a relationship with David.
While David is not Jacob’s biological father, he has always called David dad and sees him as a father figure.
David is leaving Emmerdale soon and some fans believe it is linked to Victoria and Jacob’s possible romance.

However, David might end up returning to the Yorkshire Dales in the future according to Jacob actor Joe who appeared on Lorraine on Wednesday.
Host Lorraine Kelly began: “It’s like your second family, which is great. But I know you will miss Matthew [Wolfenden] a lot who has left, but door open, he’s not gone for good I don’t think.”
Joe replied: “Yeah, they are not killing him off so the door is still open.”
Lorraine interjected: “Which is always good when that doesn’t happen!”
Will David come back to the village soon, or will the character never be seen again by ITV soap fans?
Addressing his exit on This Morning, David actor Matthew told viewers: “It feels like the right time. The door’s left open, they’re not killing me off, I’ve been promised. I’m allowed to tell you that. So who knows, I might be back, we will see.”
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV and ITVX.
