General Hospital star Billy Miller dies aged 43
General Hospital actor Billy Miller has died aged 83.
The soap star died on Friday, his manager confirmed on Sunday, which would have been Miller’s 44th birthday.
‘The actor was struggling with manic depression when he died,’ a statement to Variety reads.
As well as playing Drew Cain on ABC’s General Hospital, Miller was best known for his role as Billy Abbott on The Young and the Restless.
After starring in commercials, Miller first hit screens in 2006, in an episode of CSI: NY.
He then landed a role the following year in All My Children, and later appeared as a recurring cast member in Ringer.
Miller also played the role of Marcus Specter across four episodes of Suits, which starred Meghan Markle.
Miller won Emmy Awards for his role in The Young and the Restless, for outstanding supporting actor in a drama series in 2010 and 2013, as well as a nomination in 2011, and outstanding lead actor in a drama series in 2014.
He was also nominated for outstanding lead actor in a drama series for his role in General Hospital in 2018.
A cause of death has not been revealed.
Miller is survived by his mother Patricia and sister Megan.
