A devoted dog owner who treats her pups like her children has admitted to spending more money on her chihuahuas’ Christmas dinner than her own.
Yasmin El-Saie, 45, from London, buys her two pups a fillet steak from a a local organic meat counter, a day in advance so it’s as fresh as can be.
Spoiled pooches, Chilli and Sukhi, also get their own Christmas presents, jumpers and a decorated real tree each.
She admitted ‘Some people might think I go to far with spoiling my dogs but I don’t think anyone should be left behind when it comes to festive cheer.
‘The steak for their Christmas dinner is a bougie tradition I started in 2012 when I first got Chilli.

‘I think he deserves a juicy chunk of meat for being such a good pup all year.
‘And I make conscious choices when buying meat, that’s important to me, so he gets the best.’
Yasmin is a vegetarian and although her dinner costs less, she isn’t afraid to splash out on her dogs – a fillet steak usually costs between £20 and £50.
Chilli and Sukhi are even becoming local celebrities, with Yasmin’s Instagram account for them, @chilliwawa, being followed by more than 30,000 people.
She regularly posts fun updates and pictures of the pups, including them showing off their many outfits and exploring London.
The content creator and entrepreneur grew up in Germany, so her family have their big dinner and presents on Christmas Eve at her home in Notting Hill, London.
Yasmin said: ‘For us Christmas Eve was always the main celebration.
‘Now I always have a dinner party on Christmas Eve with family and friends, so I tend to make Chilli and Sukhi their steaks at the same time that we eat. Otherwise they would feel very left out.’

She revealed, ‘I like to buy them something small and cute even though Chihuahuas have no clue about Santa.
‘I love to spoil them with treats like a bow tie or a toy and some tasty treats of course.
‘After choosing not to have children I love to spoil Chilli and Sukhi instead, especially at Christmas.’
Having their main family celebrations on Christmas eve leaves Christmas Day free for Yasmin’s long walks with her pooches in the quiet capital.
Taking advantage of the empty pavements is a big perk for Chilli as he suffers from canine anxiety and can be reactive if approached in the street.
He wears a bright yellow lead and bandana to warn others he needs space.
The Instagram influencer uses her platform to share holistic therapies and tips to manage anxiety for dogs and their owners.
She explained; ‘Christmas is the most quiet and silent day of the year in our vibrant city where the streets are empty and so are the parks.

‘It is the perfect atmosphere for me and Chilli to enjoy a walk.
‘We’ve made it our tradition to spend the day with my mum and go for a walk in what feels like a private park.’
Yasmin spoke to MailOnline earlier this year to share some key signs of nervousness for fellow dog owners to look out for.
Describing the 11-year-old dog as ‘highly reactive’ to outdoor stimuli, she said she ‘recognised his anxious soul’ because of her own mental health struggles.
According to her, the tell-tale signs your dog has anxiety include licking their lips, frequent yawning, pinned back ears, panting, a tucked tail and raised hackles.
Although Chilli experiences a range of these symptoms, Yasmin explained that his temperament has actually helped to calm her own anxiety – he’s ‘very loving’ and ‘stroking his fur is a reassuring feeling’.
