WHEN your dad is a Hollywood megastar, it could be tempting to follow in his footsteps.

But that's not the case for one movie star's son who has taken a completely different path and has instead carved a career for himself as a chef.




Harrison Ford's son Ben decided not to follow his dad into the bright lights of Hollywood, and instead has become a force to be reckoned with in the kitchen.

Known as Chef Ben Ford, he is one of five children.

Together with his brother Willard, they are Harrison's sons from his first marriage to Mary Marquardt.

While his dad is best known for the Indiana Jones movies, Ben is now a high profile chef and restauranteur based in California.

What to know about Harrison Ford and his number of children

He is the executive chef and co-owner of Ford's Filling Station in Culver City.

In May 2014, he published his first cookbook Taming the Feast.

Ben also has two sons named Waylon and Ethan with his wife Emily.

Meanwhile, his brother Willard is the co-owner of Ludwig Clothing Company, and previously operated the Kim Sing Theatre, and the now-closed Strong Sports Gym.

Harrison – who is worth a whopping $300M (£242M) also welcomed Ben's half siblings, Malcolm and Georgia, during his second marriage to late screenwriter Melissa Mathison.

While Georgia has followed in her famous father's footsteps in acting, Malcolm has taken on a career in music.

After Harrison married Calista Flockhart, he adopted his youngest son Liam.

The couple tied the knot with in 2010, after eight years of dating.

The two became romantically involved after they first crossed paths at the 2002 Golden Globes.

The Indiana Jones actor and the Emmy Award nominee were engaged by Valentine's Day 2009.

"Romantic love is one of the most exciting, and fulfilling kinds of love, and I think there is a potential for it at any stage of your life," Harrison told Hello! about his third marriage.

"I was not surprised that I was able to fall in love, and I wasn’t surprised that I did. I’m in love."
