Strictly stars say training is not for the faint hearted amid brutal schedule

The launch of Strictly Come Dancing 2023 is just around the corner, with the new series set to begin on Saturday 16 September on BBC One.

A new set of 15 celebrities are gearing up to take to the dance floor on the hit show, with the likes of EastEnders' Bobby Brazier, Les Dennis, Angela Scanlon and Adam Thomas among the famous faces taking part.

With preparations for the new series already well underway, this year's Strictly stars have started to feel the pressure, with many taking to social media to say how tough the strict dance training regime has been.

Comedian Eddie Kadi said Strictly training had so far been a "humbling experience". He penned on Instagram: "It has been a humbling experience so far! Dancers I respect you!!! Grateful for this journey," alongside a snap of his dancing shoes.

Meanwhile, ex-Love Islander Zara McDermott took the edge off after a long day of dancing with a glass of wine and a meal out in London.

She could be seen posing at the dinner table after a long day of rehearsals, in a snap that was captioned: "The wine was needed after a long day of Strictly training".

Coronation Street's Ellie Leach appeared to hint that training had been tough on her feet, as she posted a snap of herself sporting a pair of baby pink Crocs and white socks.

"crocs need a clean but my feet are thanking me right now," she wrote alongside the photograph.

Elsewhere, Angela Scanlon shared behind the scenes photos from inside the dance studio and looked to be excited as she began another day of gruelling dance training.

She sported black shorts and a pair of New Balance trainers as she posed for a selfie in the mirror.

Adam Thomas and Layton Williams have also opened up about how gruelling Strictly training is, with Layton even admitting that it is "not for the faint hearted".

He shared a selfie on his Stories of himself wearing a pair of sunglasses and jokingly penned: "Okay so Strictly training is NOT for the faint hearted but OMG it feels so good (my body would disagree lols)".

Ex-Emmerdale star Adam shared an update on his Stories too, revealing he'd completed his first day of training.

The actor jokingly wrote: "Safe to say am not smiling anymore !! Haha wow !! Day one of training completed! Now travelling home to cry myself to sleep thanks for your lovely messages x night gang x".
