STRICTLY Come Dancing star Amanda Abbington deleted a social media post about 'mental health struggles'.

The actress has sensationally pulled out of Saturday Night's live BBC primetime show at the last minute.

Amanda, 49, will return to the competition next week after she dropped out of the weekend's broadcast for medical reasons.

Although she has yet to officially address the reason for her absence, she reportedly shared a poignant message to her Instagram stories.

According to the Mirror, the Sherlock star shared a quote by the late actor and comedian Robin Williams.

The post seemingly read: "People don't fake depression… they fake being okay. Remember that. Be kind."

Although the post has now been deleted as it is no longer available on her stories.

This comes after it was confirmed that the actress has pulled out of the fifth week of Strictly Come Dancing.

After much rehearsals, her condition means she will not be performing this week with Giovanni Pernice.

Janette Manrara, 39, confirmed the pair's absence on Friday on the spin-off show, It Takes Two.

She revealed: "We have some breaking news, unfortunately due to medical reasons, Amanda will not be taking part in Strictly Come Dancing this weekend.

"Strictly Come Dancing protocols mean that all being well, Amanda and Giovanni will return the following week."

She added: "Amanda we hope you get well soon my love, sending you all the best wishes!"

The pair had been due to perform a Cha Cha on this weekend's Strictly

But the Beeb have said the Doc Martin star will hopefully return to the competition next week.

A spokesperson explained: "Due to medical reasons Amanda Abbington will not be taking part in Strictly Come Dancing this weekend.

"Strictly Come Dancing protocols mean that all being well, Amanda and Giovanni will return the following week."
