Terror Squad rapper Raul Conde dies aged 52 as DJ Khaled leads tributes

American rapper Raul Conde has died with music stars paying tribute to him.

The star died at the age of 52 but no cause of death has yet been disclosed.

DJ Khaled and hip-hop legend Fat Joe were among the big names paying tribute to Raul.

Record producer DJ Khaled shared a heartfelt message with his 37.7million followers alongside an image with Raul.

He wrote: “Love you my brother @raul.ts you are very rare you the definition of a true brother friend .

“U always wanted to see everyone win . RAUL I LOVE YOU BROTHER !

“GOD BLESS . WE GOING MISS U , @raul.ts the legendary RAUL ! Love for ever ! [sic].”

While Fat Joe posted to his 5.7million Instagram followers an image with Raul and wrote a lengthy caption, which read: “My Day 1 how can a man love another man more than your own biological family.

“You are 1 of 1 the most loyal EVER. We did it since kids we did everything we dreamed of i love you with every fiber in my body. I thought we’d get old together and look back at the times we had and laugh.

“No one understood me like you, you were God sent my brother I wish I could get one last talk with you. My Condolences to the CONDE FAMILY ty for letting us have RAUL for all these years i can tell you not a moment in my life i won’t love and cherish every minute every second I’ve had with RAUL.

“i want everyone to wish my brother a safe passage to Heaven cause he loved GOD SO MUCH WE ARE TERROR SQUAD 4 Life I love you RAUL TILL WE MEET AGAIN [sic].”

Fat Joe later posted another photo with the deceased star and a message which read: “In the end, they will call you a lot of things. Just make sure solid is one of them.”

This second post was accompanied by praying hands and a heartbroken emoji.

Love and Hip Hop star Erica Mena, with whom Raul shared a child King Javien Conde, also shared her grief on social media.

She posted an image of Raul with their boy on her Instagram Stories and captioned the post: “My son officially has a broken heart. Life is so short. Please love your people.”

Some other big names from the world of Hip Hop sharing their condolences included Timbaland, DJ Nasty and Dre Lyon of Cool & Dre.

Raul was best known as both a rapper and a music video director and was part of Fate Joe’s record label Terror Squad Entertainment, which he formed back in 1997.
