Before she said “I do” to Prince Harry, Meghan Markle was already a famous actor – with over two dozen movies and TV shows under her belt.

And it’s fair to say Meg can turn her hand to any type of character – playing everything from a cold-blooded killer to a FedEx delivery driver.

Her biggest role was in the US drama Suits, which ran for nine series from 2011 until 2019.

On the show, Meg played paralegal-turned-attorney Rachel Zane, the love interest of Mike Ross (Patrick J Adams).

After she became engaged to Prince Harry though, Meghan quit Suits and said her goodbyes in a two-hour finale in series seven.

Since then, several of her co-stars have spoken out about Meghan – including her on-screen beau Patrick.

So with Patrick celebrating his birthday on Sunday (August 27) Daily Star is taking a look at everything Meghan Markle’s co-stars have said about her.

    Gregg Sulkin

Disney star Gregg Sulkin got to know Meg when they both appeared in the 2015 drama flick, Anti-Social.

In the film, Greg, who has starred in Wizards Of Waverley Place and Pretty Little Liars, plays a street artist who gets involved in his criminal brother’s antics.

Meg played the role of his glamorous model girlfriend – who wasn’t too keen on her boyf’s brother.

Greg, who is British, spoke fondly of Meg in 2019, telling Fair Game with Kristine Leahy: “Everybody does know her as a princess, but in real life, she genuinely is also like a princess.”

He explained. "She is one of the classiest, the nicest, one of the most sincere and genuine people I've ever met."

Gregg also gushed to Vanity Fair: “Out of all the actresses I've worked with in 12 years, I think [Meghan is] my favorite."

    Wendell Pierce

American Actor Wendell Pierce played the dad of Meghan‘s character on Suits – before her shock exit.

However, following Meghan and Harry’s explosive Oprah Winfrey interview, it seemed Wendell was not too impressed.

In a 2021 interview with the U.K. radio station LBC, he seemed to lash out at the Sussexes for airing their royal family grievances amid a global pandemic.

“In the midst of so much death, I think it is insignificant," Wendell said, but he later took back his criticism.

In a post shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, he penned in part: “In no way am I insensitive to suicide.

“As I told Meghan, I support her and wish her all the best."

Lisa Gleave (Deal Or No Deal)

Way back in the day, between 2006 and 2007, Meghan was a briefcase model on TV game show Deal Or No Deal.

However, her stint on the show left a rather bad taste in her mouth, as in October last year, she claimed she was treated like a “bimbo” during her time on the programme.

Speaking about her Deal Or No Deal experience on her Archetypes podcast, Meghan said: “There were different stations for having your lashes put on, or your extensions put in, or the padding in your bra."

And Meg’s dig at the show didn’t go unnoticed from her former co-star Lisa Gleave who lashed out at the royal for her comments.

The model told The Times: “I didn’t like the comment she made… She may have felt that way because of who she was, or who she was trying to be. But she was not treated like [a bimbo].”

She also added to MailOnline: “She [Meghan] was a struggling actress and I think if it wasn't for Deal Or No Deal she probably wouldn't be where she is now.”

    Patrick J Adams

Meg’s former on-screen beau Patrick has appeared to always stick up for the Duchess of Sussex.

When she was accused of bullying staff at the Palace, Patrick rushed to defend his pal on X.

In a series of now-deleted tweets, he penned: "It sickened me to read the endless racist, slanderous, clickbaiting vitriol spewed in her direction from all manner of media.”

In 2020, Patrick revealed he hadn’t spoken or called Meg since she tied the knot.

“Quite frankly, I think I'm intimidated," he confessed to Radio Times.

    “I don't know what I would say."

Despite not speaking for a while, in a 2022 interview, Patrick revealed he would be down to work with her again.

“I would kill to work with Meghan again,” Patrick told Extra.

“She’s a huge talent and more than anything she’s the most motivated, driven human being I’ve ever met in my life. I’m very excited to see what she does.’

Back in 2010, Meg had a small role as a bartender in the drama Remember Me – which starred Robert Pattinson.

Despite her minor appearance, Twilight hunk Rob remembered her many years later.

Speaking to E! News in 2017, he was asked his thoughts on Prince Harry and Markle's engagement.

He said: “She seems great. I worked with her, as well. She's in 'Remember Me' — it's my claim to fame!"

Rob was then quizzed if given their history, he would be invited to the royal wedding, to which he replied: “Hopefully."

The British actor didn't bag an invite to the wedding unfortunately but Meg has gushed about Rob too.

"Oh, he's such a sweetheart," she told Her World in 2013.

"He's a really lovely guy and a really great example to be able to watch someone who is young, whose stardom has really taken over his life in such a huge way, and yet he's still gracious, humble, and cool. I think that is really endearing."
