Sarah Chapman, who is known to be Meghan Markle’s facialist, took to Instagram recently to gush over the royal.

She penned: “Through my work I am fortunate to meet some incredible, interesting and inspirational people and over the past 2 ½ years I feel honoured to have spent much time with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

“With Meghan, what began as a client relationship quickly turned into a dear friendship and she welcomed me into their lives.”

The skincare expert then posted a detailed video titled “at home facial with Sarah,” where she discussed “spending more time cocooned at home,” and her desire to help people feel their best as a result.

Without further ado, these are Sarah’s top tips…

1. Create a zone

Sarah makes it clear that she believes “creating a zone,” as she calls it, is of utmost importance before you begin a skincare routine.

She says: “Light a candle and burn some essential oils. It’s all part of making you feel good.” She then advises cleansing before anything else, whilst showing fans how to do it from home.

2. Massaging

Sarah drives home the importance of massaging the face, adding that she usually massages at the beginning of a facial under steam for quite some time.

She adds that massaging “illuminates the dullness on the skin,” and “helps move through any breakouts,” but adds that you should be firm when massaging the face and use the knuckles to create a “deep sweeping” feeling.

3. Fresh air and exercise

Sarah adds that diet and exercise is extremely important when it comes to skincare. She added: “Lack of fresh air will have an effect on the skin as will lack of movement. We need to get the blood rushing around to get as much oxygen into our body, so trying to do some form of exercise helps.”

The facialist also advised that “everyone should be taking vitamin D supplements right now,” adding that they’re “very important” for the skin.

4. Pinching

Next, Sarah moves onto the importance of pitching and doing little movements on the skin.

She says: “Do little pinching movements and the skin will start to go red. You’ll start to see a flush and we want to see a flush as it brings oxygen, nutrients and life back into the skin.”

Referring to lockdown she added: “If this whole experience is making you look really dull and you feel your skin is dry then these movements make you look like you’ve just had a run in the park or gone on a mountain walk.”

5. Protect the skin from UV Rays

Sarah says sunscreen is essential whether you’re indoors or out. She explained: “I get asked this a lot and yes it’s really important because even if you aren’t outside, UVA rays penetrate through glass and there’s also the blue light that comes from our computers.”

Sarah champions Glow Illuminating Elixir from her skincare line because it tackles blue light pollution and raises money for charity too.

“It’s a limited-edition product we launched for The Prince’s Trust and their Women Supporting Women initiative,” she said.

Inside Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding reception as pair celebrate second anniversary

After months of anticipation, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry tied the knot at Windsor Castle on 19 May, 2018.

While the groom expressed how nervous he was throughout the ceremony in a hilarious whisper to his new wife, the bride looked cool and calm as she swanned down the aisle in her custom Givenchy gown.

Royal Wedding guests, meanwhile, looked like they were enjoying themselves throughout the ceremony, from Harry's royal family members to Meghan's Suits co-stars.

But what happened behind the scenes? Here's what you need to know about the Royal Wedding reception as the royals got personal and celebrities partied the night away.

Prince Harry's tribute to Meghan

Once away from the cameras, Prince William's little brother gave a touching speech about his bride, according to reports.

Charity boss Suhani Jalota revealed: "Some people were even crying. I think it was just a really nice atmosphere to be in where everybody felt loved."

"He was talking about his wife and, you know, everybody was clapping because it was the first time he was using that term for Meghan. It was really nice."

Prince Charles' speech

The father of the groom, who also walked Meghan down the aisle, gave a speech too.

A wedding guest detailed how Prince Charles left the room in tears after giving a speech to his "darling old Harry."

One guest explained how, after joking about changing his nappy as a child, the first in line to the throne said how happy he was to walk his new daughter-in-law down the aisle.

James Corden's key role

There were many guests arriving the Royal Wedding that had viewers guessing their link to the royal couple.

James Corden and his wife, famous both in the UK and the USA thanks to his chat show, was one of the guests at the ceremony.

But as it turns out, he had a special role at the reception, too.

Comedian James' job was to act as compère – introducing speeches and so on – throughout the evening, according to the Mirror Online.

Elton John's performance

Elton John, who famously sang a take on classic Candle In The Wind at Princess Diana's funeral, performed again for the royals at her youngest son's wedding.

The old family friend sang romantic tune Your Song for the bride and groom, according to reports by the Daily Star.

Guest Suhani noted: "It became like a mini concert in the reception area. It was great."

Party slippers

But what about once all the formalities were over with? Of course, it was then time to party.

Guests were even provided with slippers so they could fling off their heels before heading to the dance floor.

Pretty Little Liars actress Troian Bellisario – and wife of Meghan’s former Suits co-star, Patrick J Adams – took to Instagram to share a snap off the cosy slippers after taking off her heels.

With celebrity DJ Sam Totolee providing the tracks, we're sure the guests partied the night away.

Author Emily Giffin Releases Statement After Calling Meghan Markle ‘Phony’ & ‘Unmaternal’ In Deleted Social Media Comment

Emily Giffin came under fire today for her comments about Meghan Markle.

The “Something Borrowed” author called the Duchess of Sussex a phony and unmaternal in a text message and blasted the former senior royal in a now deleted Instagram comment.

“Holy ‘me first.’ This is the Megan [sic] show. Why didn’t she film and let Harry read? And why didn’t she take the moment at the end to say ‘he said daddy!’ Because that would make it about Harry for a split second, God forbid,” Emily had written. “Also, you want privacy for your child so you put out a video (by your authorized biographer) of him …. wearing no pants?! Ooookay ….”

In another text message, Emily added that Meghan was putting on a show and playing a part “poorly”, as well as calling her unmaternal and phony.

Emily has since made a statement about her comments, via Huffington Post:

“I enjoy following celebrities and analyzing them with my readers. I post dozens of IG stories a day in a very honest, unfiltered way, as if I’m confiding directly with close friends,” she started. “Further, I’m very interested in the British monarchy. I always have been. See the link in my bio for an essay I wrote in the days before Meghan and Harry wed.”

She continued, “To be clear, I absolutely loved that a biracial, American woman was marrying into the Royal Family. It seemed a wonderful, happy thing for everyone. I celebrated their wedding by hosting a gathering here at my home and posting many, many photos. Further, I was appalled by any signs of racism against her.”

“Over recent months my feelings about BOTH Harry and Meghan changed. But I can say from the bottom of my heart that my criticism of Meghan has never had anything to do with race. Further, I understood why she wanted to leave the monarchy and carve out her own path. I do, however, find fault with the way BOTH she and Harry handled things, and those feelings bled over in later posts, including the ones today.”

“I can see how some of my posts may have felt mean-spirited, and could be construed as having racial undertones. It was not my intent, but I understand that intent and impact are two very different things. And I am truly sorry for that negative impact.”

If you didn’t see, Meghan and Harry released a special video for their son, Archie‘s, first birthday.

Meghan Markle loses first stage of legal battle with newspaper over publication of private letter to her father

Meghan Markle has lost the first High Court legal battle against the publisher of the Mail On Sunday in her privacy claim against the newspaper.

The Duchess of Sussex is suing British publisher Associated Newspapers over five articles published in the Mail On Sunday which featured letters exchanged between herself and her father, Thomas Markle.

Judge Mark Warby today ruled that the newspapers would not be judged on whether it had acted dishonestly; had stirred up conflict between Meghan and her father; or had published offensive and intrusive articles about the Duchess.

  • Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to 'give world rare glimpse of their son Archie' for his first birthday

Justice Warby said the court would decide only whether or not the newspaper had violated her privacy.

He said in his judgment, published today: “I have struck out all the passages attacked in the application notice. Some of the allegations are struck out as irrelevant to the purpose for which they are pleaded. Some are struck out on the further or alternative ground that they are inadequately detailed.

“I have also acted so as to confine the case to what is reasonably necessary and proportionate for the purpose of doing justice between these parties.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to Unveil Their Real World in New Biography

Provisionally titled ‘Thoroughly Modern Royals: The Real World of Harry and Meghan’, the new book is said to be set for an August release after delay caused by the novel coronavirus pandemic.

AceShowbiz -Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex are reportedly cooperating with biographers on a new book promising to unveil their “real world.”

The biography, provisionally titled “Thoroughly Modern Royals: The Real World of Harry and Meghan”, was due to be published by New York’s Dey Street Books in June, but has been delayed amid the COCID-19 pandemic.

According to British newspaper The Independent, the tome will now be released in August, after writers were given access to the Duchess’s engagements on a small number of occasions.

Staff in the royal households are believed to have been aware of its existence for months and, while there is concern about how much the couple’s “friends” will reveal about the personal lives of the royal family, some have expressed exasperation at the ongoing drama surrounding the Sussexes and their exit from Britain.

It comes after the couple stepped down as senior royals last month, and are currently isolating against the coronavirus at their new home in Los Angeles, with Harry recently confessing to spending the lockdown “rolling around in hysterics” as he spends time with 11-month-old son, Archie.

Users across TikTok and Instagram have been quick to jump on board the trend and give it a go for themselves, thanks to the impressive before and after tutorials.

  • This viral TikTok trick will clean make-up brushes using just one KITCHEN utensil

The steps are simple – start with clean, dry skin, then dollop a blob of fake tan onto some paper. Take a stippling brush and dip the end in the fake tan so the tops of the bristles are coated.

After that, you just gently pat the brush over the areas you’d like to add freckles – so nose and upper cheeks, if you’re going for the Meghan look. You don’t want to press too hard or the freckles will look more like blobs.

If you aren’t very confident, then do some test marks on your arm first and wipe off with a baby wipe after. Once you’re done applying your freckles, leave them to develop for 6-8 hours, depending on the tan formula you’re using.

The fake tan option seems to be the most favoured at the moment, as it stains the skin and will keep your freckles looking cute for a good few days. But TikTok user Jess Ricca was at the forefront of this trend and advises using eyeshadow powder for a quick-fix instead.

To copy her version, just crumble some brown eyeshadow onto a non-absorbent surface, add a few drops of water to mix it into a tinted liquid, then follow the rest of the steps above.

Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Sever Ties With British Tabloid Newspapers In Brutal Letter

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have continued their war with British tabloids, writing to the editors of The Sun, Daily Mail, Daily Mirror and Daily Express to say they are severing ties with the newspapers.

After stepping back from their royal duties, ending their reliance on public funding and moving to Los Angeles, the pair said they will no longer tolerate dealing with the tabloids because they refuse to “offer themselves up as currency for an economy of clickbait and distortion.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex said they will have “zero engagement” with the newspapers themselves or through their press representatives. The only line of communication will be through their lawyers where necessary.

They said: “It is gravely concerning that an influential slice of the media, over many years, has sought to insulate themselves from taking accountability for what they say or print – even when they know it to be distorted, false, or invasive beyond reason. When power is enjoyed without responsibility, the trust we all place in this much-needed industry is degraded.

“There is a real human cost to this way of doing business and it affects every corner of society. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have watched people they know — as well as complete strangers — have their lives completely pulled apart for no good reason, other than the fact that salacious gossip boosts advertising revenue.”

They added: “With that said, please note that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will not be engaging with your outlet. There will be no corroboration and zero engagement. This is also a policy being instated for their communications team, in order to protect that team from the side of the industry that readers never see.

“This policy is not about avoiding criticism. It’s not about shutting down public conversation or censoring accurate reporting. Media have every right to report on and indeed have an opinion on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, good or bad. But it can’t be based on a lie.”

Prince Harry and Markle, who is returning to work in Hollywood by narrating the Disney film Elephant, stressed that their decision is not a blanket ban on all press — and is not intended to censor accurate reporting. They said they are “looking forward” to working with journalists from all over the world.

Prince Harry and Markle have a fractious relationship with the British media, and the pair are suing the Mail on Sunday for printing a private letter sent by Markle, while also taking on The Sun and The Daily Mirror over phone hacking.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Donate Funds from Wedding Broadcast to U.K. Charity Amid Coronavirus

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have donated more than $112,000 generated from their royal wedding broadcast to the U.K. charity Feeding Britain amid the coronavirus pandemic, PEOPLE confirms.

A spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said they are “delighted” to see the money go to “such a great cause.”

It had been understood that any excess profits from the BBC broadcast of their May 19, 2018 ceremony would be donated to a charity of the couple’s choosing. An estimated 1.9 billion people tuned in to watch the couple’s royal wedding at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.

Justin Welby, the Archbishop of Canterbury, is president of Feeding Britain, a charity working to eliminate hunger and its root causes across the U.K. The couple has grown close to the Archbishop Justin Welby, who not only conducted Meghan’s baptism, but also officiated their wedding, which makes their donation to the organization especially poignant.

While they have a non-profit and other projects in the works, the couple will be primarily focusing on family. They will also continue to support their existing patronages in the U.K. following their royal exit.
