Ana de Armas Says Boyfriend Ben Affleck's 'Talent Is Infinite'

Ana de Armas is relatively new to Hollywood, but she’s already making waves. The Cuban-Spanish actress actually started acting when she was very young, refining her craft in various soap operas and small roles. These days, de Armas has been in the headlines a lot due to her budding relationship with superstar actor Ben Affleck. Although the two have worked hard to keep their romance private, she recently opened up about her actor boyfriend, paying him a massive compliment.

Who is Ana de Armas?

De Armas was born in 1988 in Havana, Cuba. She developed a fascination with the world of television and film when she was still very young. By the time she was a teenager, she had decided to pursue acting as a career.

By her fourteenth birthday, she had joined the National Theater School of Cuba and worked on several major student productions. When she was 18, de Armas moved to Spain in order to get started on her professional career.

For several years, de Armas worked on various television and film projects in Spain, mostly landing small roles. She got her big break in 2007 when she was cast in the television drama El Internado.

After working on the show for three years, de Armas decided to take her career to the next level and moved to Los Angeles, California, where she hoped to break into Hollywood films. It didn’t take long for executives in Hollywood to sit up and take notice of de Armas.

In short order, she appeared in several major movies, including Blade Runner 2049, War Dogs, Knives Out, and the critically-acclaimed Rian Johnson thriller Knives Out

After a rapid rise to fame in the United States, de Armas has become one of the hottest actresses around. She has several major movies set for release in 2020  — but she is most popular right now for her relationship with Ben Affleck, her co-star in the upcoming thriller Deep Water.

The two first met on the set in late 2019 and according to reports, “had great chemistry right from the start.” By the spring of 2020, Affleck and de Armas were spotted on a romantic vacation together, prompting many to assume that the two were seriously dating.

Over the next few weeks, Affleck and de Armas were seen together multiple times, from casual coffee runs to sunset beach walks. Affleck has even been commenting on de Armas’s Instagram posts, proving to many that they are completely serious about each other.

For the newly-sober Affleck, de Armas might be the best thing to have happened to him in a while.

What did Ana de Armas recently say about Ben Affleck?

While Affleck hasn’t opened up in detail about his romance with de Armas, the actress recently spoke about Affleck in an in-depth interview with Vogue Spain. In her interview, the actress praised Affleck’s acting range, saying that “not only does he know how to do (move between tragedy and irony) with ease, he also manages to surprise you in every shot. His talent is infinite.”

It is clear that their relationship is founded on a great amount of personal respect and professional compatibility as well as mutual attraction. Affleck might be looking at a major career resurgence, just as de Armas is on the cusp of worldwide superstardom.

Kathy Griffin Says She's in Coronavirus Isolation Ward, But Can't Get Tested

The comedian says despite “unbearably painful” coronavirus-like symptoms, she can’t get approved for a COVID-19 test — calls president a liar about U.S. testing.

Kathy Griffin called Donald Trump a liar from an isolation ward for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), according to an Instagram selfie she shared on Wednesday.

She was calling out the president for his claim that the U.S. has offered more tests than any other country, because she says she can’t get one. According to Griffin, despite presenting with "unbearably painful" symptoms, she still couldn’t get tested for COVID-19 because of CDC restrictions.

While many believe that COVID-19 testing should be made available to everyone, the CDC website says, "Clinicians should use their judgment to determine if a patient has signs and symptoms compatible with COVID-19 and whether the patient should be tested."

Thus, there are plenty of people who’ve shared on social media that despite their belief that they may have symptoms of the virus, they have been unable to get tested. Still, tests are reportedly becoming more widely available and providing results faster than before.

‪He’s lying. I was sent to the #COVID19 isolation ward room in a major hospital ER from a separate urgent care facility after showing UNBEARABLY PAINFUL symptoms. The hospital couldn’t test me for #coronavirus because of CDC (Pence task force) restrictions. #TESTTESTTEST ‬

A post shared by Kathy Griffin (@kathygriffin) on

Griffin shared a screenshot of Trump’s tweet touting U.S. coronavirus testing numbers alongside a selfie of her wearing a face mask and a shot of the closed door of her private isolation room.

Two weeks ago, Heidi Klum also shared her struggles getting tested after falling ill and leaving the set of "America’s Got Talent." Both she and her husband wound up sick, but they did finally get tested, with Klum revealing just this week that they both had tested negative.

The health scare for Griffin comes a week after the tragic passing of her mother, who died at 99 years old. "I am gutted," the comedian said of her mother, who co-starred with her on her reality show "My Life on the D-List." "I’m so grateful you got to be part of her life. You loved her. I know it. She knew it. She’s irreplaceable."

Kaitlyn Bristowe Says Boyfriend Jason Is ‘Irritating’ Her Amid Self-Isolation

Kaitlyn Bristowe joked that her boyfriend, Jason Tartick, is doing something “so irritating” as they self-isolate amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The former Bachelorette star, 34, and her beau, 31, talked about their pet peeves while being interviewed on Bachelor Nation host Chris Harrison’s Instagram Live “Group Date” with his girlfriend, Lauren Zima, on Friday, March 20.

“Here’s my problem, I’ve got serious a serious case of misophonia, so when people chew around me, like, I can’t handle the sound and that just has been, like, what’s the word I’m looking for?”

“Triggering,” Harrison, 48, suggested.

“Triggering!” Bristowe agreed. “And it’s like, he ate cereal this morning and I was not OK.”

“I’m playing doctor the last four months. I chew cereal with my mouth closed the wrong way and that’s not OK,” the banker chimed in as he laughed.

Harrison admitted to Bristowe that he also suffered from the same condition (in which common sounds prompt a strong emotional response) but “mine’s not as bad as you.”

“I can’t believe you’re saying this ‘cause I literally learned in probably the past two days that he was like this,” the Entertainment Tonight correspondent, 33, said to her boyfriend of 18 months. “I’d be eating and he’d go, ‘Why are you chewing so loudly?’”

“Yes!” the “Off the Vine With Kaitlyn Bristowe” podcast host agreed. “I don’t know what it is, it’s just the sound is, like, so irritating and it sounds louder than it should and it is a trigger. People that don’t have it don’t understand how severe it is.”

“All the more reason to just drink your calories,” Zima suggested.

Tartick warned that the condition “is contagious.”

“I’ll be out with my buddies, normally I wouldn’t care at all, and then they’re chewing and I’m giving them looks and I’m like, ‘What’s happening to me?’” he said.

Tartick, who appeared on season 14 of The Bachelorette with Becca Kufrin in 2018 and began dating Bristowe in January 2019, also spoke to Harrison about new Bachelor content during the coronavirus shutdown.

“What’s the likelihood that you guys replay Kaitlyn’s season?” he asked, admitting it was a question that was “keeping us up at night.”

“I wouldn’t do that to Kaitlyn,” Harrison said of her 2015 season of The Bachelorette that sparked controversy when she allowed season 10 contestant Nick Viall to join the competition and then was slammed for sleeping with him ahead of the fantasy suite dates.

Bachelor franchise creator Mike Fleiss tweeted on Friday that they will soon be airing the “world’s greatest” episodes of The Bachelor, Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise, with Bachelor Nation picking the shows.

Chris Harrison Says Peter Weber Was Visibly "Shaken" and "Upset" Following 'The Bachelor' Finale

Welp, The Bachelor has finally wrapped up for the year (thank God), and as expected there was TONS of drama to be had. The live finale special had a bunch of curve balls, namely the super awk moments of Hannah Ann Sluss telling Peter Weber off for rejecting her after proposing, and Peter’s mom Barbara, ripping Madison Prewett to shreds for not being her choice girl for Peter.

After the finale, Peter was a bit of a wreck, according to host Chris Harrison. “He was backstage standing next to Madison, visibly upset, venting to producers, just shaken,” Chris explained to Us Weekly. “His world got kind of shaken on live TV. That’s something I don’t wish on anybody. It was uncomfortable, and he was probably embarrassed—probably angry and rightfully so.”

And as far as Barbara insinuating that Peter’s relationship with Madison will “fail” in order for him to “succeed”? Yeah, Chris had some thoughts about her comments too.

“In life—and I am a parent—you only want what’s best for your kids. But there’s a time when you can be right and be wrong. And was she right? Maybe,” he said. “But did she need to make that statement at that time? Was the timing there in the way she expressed herself, could it have been a little better, a little different? Do you ever need to say to your kid, ‘I told you so?’ I just thought, in that moment, maybe it could’ve been a little better timing.”

On top of Peter’s vent-sesh with the producers, his mother Barbara reportedly ripped into production over Peter and Madison getting back together. So… IDK, I’m just gonna have to cross my fingers and wish these two crazy kids the best!

Former Miss Africa South who was runner-up in the 1970 Miss World pageant that inspired the movie Misbehaviour says the contest did not change her life because of apartheid

  • Pearl Jensen, 68, was first runner up during the 1970 Miss World Contest
  • The beauty contest saw a Black woman, Jennifer Hosten, from Grenada, win
  • Being a Black woman, she competed as ‘Miss Africa South’ due to Apartheid
  • The controversial event is the subject of new movie Misbehaviour, out on Friday
  • Speaking on Lorraine this morning, she said the contest did not change her life

Pearl Jensan, the first runner-up in the Miss World competition of 1970, has revealed that the contest did not change her life because of Apartheid.

Speaking on Lorraine, the 68-year-old, who competed as ‘Miss Africa South’ when she was 18, told Lorraine that the contest was meant to be a step up in life for young women, but that it didn’t change hers.

Pearl, was first runner-up in the contest, which was embroiled in controversy, due to the fact South Africa was allowed to present two contestants: Miss South Africa, who was white, and Jensen competing as Miss Africa South.

The event, which was protested by the Women’s Liberation movement, is the subject of the new movie Misbehaviour, starring Keira Knightley, Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Hosten and Loreece Harrison as Jensen, who was also invited to the set of Lorraine.

Reminiscing about her experience of the contest with Lorraine, Jensen said she’d hoped the contest would be an opportunity, but was disappointed to see it did not change her situation in South Africa, which was divided by Apartheid.

‘Where I’m concerned, it was of no help at all,’ she said.

‘My life didn’t change at all, not at all,’ she added. ‘Because I’m from the Apartheid era, you must understand, so there was absolutely no opportunity for us.’

‘So when I came back to South Africa, it just died, it was jut dormant.’

Apartheid, which was in place in South Africa, from 1948 to the early 1990s, was a system of institutionalised racial segregation against non-white citizens.

Pearl said she didn’t mind being ‘Miss Africa South’ has opposed to ‘Miss South Africa’, a title held by a white woman

For that reason, the country presented two contestants at the contest, with Jillian Jessup, who was white, holding the title of Miss Africa.

However, Jensen said she did not mind being called Miss Africa South, as opposed to being the only representative for South Africa, because she welcomed the opportunity at the time.

She added that now that times had changed, South African women wishing to kick-start a career in showbiz should consider competing in the contest.

Speaking of the movie, she welcomed the fact it gave her the chance to reunited with the winner, Grenada’s Jennifer Hosten, who is now in her seventies and a grandmother.

The Miss World Contest 1970 was at the centre of a controversy when activists of the Women’s Liberation movement interrupted the event with flour bombs, and heckled the host, Bob Hope.

RM Says He 'Cried a Lot' While Writing the Music for BTS' 'Map of the Soul: 7'

Sometimes it’s hard to show emotion and weakness, let alone write it in an album for millions of people to hear. During a press conference for Map of the Soul: 7, RM shared what it was like to write the BTS songs “Black Swan” and “We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal.” Here’s what we learned.

BTS held a global press conference for their recently released album, ‘Map of the Soul: 7’

After months of waiting, the latest BTS album finally premiered, complete with a few music videos, an art film, and multiple art installations in conjunction with “Connect, BTS.” A few days after Map of the Soul: 7 premiered, the boy band held a press conference.

The members discussed what this album means to them during their press conference, which was held over YouTube. After their “period of rest and relaxation,” RM explained, they wanted to give fans an album “heavy” with symbolism and high-quality music.

That’s exactly what they did. Map of the Soul: 7 became the BTS album with the most pre-sales. Each comeback trailer released by this K-pop group jumped to the top trending spot on YouTube, earning millions of views along the way. When the album finally dropped, it became No. 1 on iTunes globally, according to Soompi.

RM explained the writing process for songs like ‘Black Swan’

As the leader of the group, RM, (in addition to other BTS members and songwriters,) contributed to songs off of Map of the Soul: 7. For the first time, Kim Namjoon shared a story about one of the first singles from this era, “Black Swan.”

According to the translation, RM shared that as he was writing “Black Swan,” he rewatched the movie featuring Natalie Portman. Later, while writing other songs on the album, he got emotional thinking of the last seven years spent with BTS. (The moment comes around the 1-hour mark during the press conference.)

To be fair, the K-pop group has come a long way. From starting with a small company to being the biggest boy band in the world, there were a lot of hard times in between. Still, like their song “We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal” says, they have each other and they have their fanbase, the BTS army, now.

Other BTS members discussed ‘Map of the Soul: 7’

Throughout the press conference, the boys were asked about their global influence and music off of their latest album, Map of the Soul: 7. As one of the most personal BTS albums, the members discussed the meaning behind songs like “Louder Than Bombs” and “Black Swan.”

“Because we have albums in series like the Most Beautiful Moment in Life series and the Love Yourself series, we place high importance on the story of our albums,” J-Hope said, according to a translation from Soompi.

“For Map of the Soul: 7 as well, as part of the Map of the Soul series, we built the tracklist in a way that organically connects Persona, Shadow, and Ego,” he continued. “For example, our pre-release track ‘Black Swan’ is a confession of our fears as artists. ‘Louder Than Bombs,’ which we worked on with Troye Sivan, is an expression of the inner shadows. On the other hand, ‘We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal’ embodies BTS’s determination and our ‘ego’ that we will keep going forward even when faced with hardships.”

Music by BTS, including Map of the Soul: 7, is available on Spotify and other major streaming platforms.

John Krasinski Says He'd Love to Do an 'Office' Reunion: It Was 'Everything to Me'

If there’s ever a reunion of The Office, John Krasinski is totally on board to be part of it. In fact, he has such a fondness for the series that made him a star, he admits it “was absolutely everything” to him.

Krasinski says he’d love to do a reunion of The Office

Krasinski is game for a reunion because the show means so much to him. While there are no plans to do an Office reunion, he wouldn’t hesitate to get back together with his Dunder Mifflin office mates.

The Office was absolutely everything to me. I mean it is my beginning and my end,” he shared during an interview for the March 2020 issue of Esquire. “I’m pretty sure at the end of my career I’ll still be known for Jim.”

He continued: “That was my first experience with Hollywood. It was the first creative family I’ve ever had. In many ways, they will alwaysbe the most important people in that most important experience in my career. Soyeah, if they did a reunion, I would absolutely love to do it.”

After The Office ended there were obstacles with getting cast

Krasinski loved his time on The Office and when it ended, he explained, there were some challenges with getting cast. It was a problem that he could totally understand, however.

The Office was so big at the time, but I think a lot of people were afraid to cast certain cast members in anything else because they were just known as that one thing, which I completely understood,” he explained. “It wasn’t an aggressive anger towards it. It was just a reality that I think I wasn’t, if I’m honest, genuinely prepared for.”

When the series ended, he worked on writing and directing and finally a director saw beyond him being Jim Halpert and cast him in a big film. Michael Bay cast him in 13 hours and Krasinski was thankful Bay took a chance on him.

“No one wants to be first in this business. I certainly wasnot the first choice for that movie. Michael really was the one who gave methat shot,” the actor shared.

His co-stars are game for a reunion too

During a December 2019 episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show guest-hosted by The Office star Ellie Kemper, she chatted with co-stars Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey and asked their thoughts on a reboot or reunion.

“I would not do an Office reboot,” Fischer answered. “But I would love to do a reunion special episode. I’d like to get us all together again.”

Kinsey was a little more flexible, explaining, “I would do anything they called me to do. So if you want to call me, I’m around.” Kemper agreed, saying, “I will be there. So Angela and I are rebooting The Office!”

Will there ever be an Office reunion?

Office showrunner Greg Daniels had explained in October 2019 why he didn’t think a reboot was in the cards. “It was such a perfect thing that I would hesitate to open it up. We got the chance to end it the way we wanted to end it. It wasn’t like we were interrupted in the middle of a run or something. So in a sense it’s completely an artistic whole. But, that said, I don’t know, the cast every now and then talks about getting back together in some form, but I don’t see it being a reboot like the way Will & Grace was rebooted,” he told EW at the time.

Daniels added, “My biggest concern would be disappointing the fans. People will watch the entire series and then roll right into watching it again, and to me that means we ended it properly.”

Ozzy Osbourne says he’s in ‘unbelievable pain 24/7’

Weeks after revealing he’s been battling Parkinson’s disease, Ozzy Osbourne is detailing other serious ailments, confessing that, lately, he’s been in “unbelievable pain” all day, every day.

The Black Sabbath frontman recently told The Sun that while the public is focused on his Parkinson’s, he’s suffering “unbelievable pain 24/7” due to a fall last year that aggravated neck injury he sustained in a 2003 quad bike accident.

“I’d hit the floor at such a force that I pinched my spinal column,” the heavy metal icon confessed. “They had to go in and open the passage. They had to cut through nerves to get there and it’s f–ked my neck, my back, my shoulders and my arms. I didn’t even know there was such a thing as f–king nerve pain.”

“It has caused far more problems than the Parkinson’s,” he added. “I was still doing shows with the diagnosis.”

In fact, Osbourne asserts that his form of Parkinson’s — P2 — isn’t as bad as people believe, saying, “It’s not mainstream Parkinson’s, like Michael J. Fox’s, but a milder form, I’m glad to say. It affects regular things — like if you get a cold, it could be the Parkinson’s. Or, if I get a stiff leg, I think, ‘Is it the Parkinson’s?’ What I have makes ordinary living a bit more complicated.”

Ozzy’s wife, Sharon, recently thanked fans for their support of her hubby, adding, “We’re not going to stop until Ozzy is back out there, on that stage, where he belongs. It was what he was born to do.”
