Celebs react to Pop Smoke’s tragic death

If Pop Smoke’s unique name wasn’t enough to catch your attention, you may have been aware of the fact that his music was quickly getting him noticed in the rap scene. It was also making him a lot of money and unfortunately, that may have been one of the reasons why the 20-year-old was tragically killed during a home invasion and robbery that took place in the early hours of Feb. 19, 2020. Following the sad news, celebrities who knew and admired the performer took to social media to express their shock and share their condolences.

Nicki Minaj, who collaborated on a remix of Pop Smoke’s “Welcome to the Party,” posted a photo of the up-and-coming rapper on Instagram along with the caption: “The Bible tells us that jealousy is as cruel as the grave. Unbelievable. Rest In Peace, Pop.”

“Rest Up Pop Smoke, you were too young. God Bless and comfort your family. What a crazy trajectory you were on man smh,” tweeted Chance the Rapper. 50 Cent wrote, “R.I.P to my man Pop Smoke, No sympathy for winners. God bless him.”

Other notable names, including Kylie Jenner, DJ Akademiks, Chip, Randolph, and Migos’ Quavo also took the time to post messages about the slain rapper. Finally, reality star Teddi Mellencamp spoke out about Pop Smoke’s passing, not only out of sadness, but also because he was killed in her home.

Teddi Mellencamp talks about Pop Smoke's murder at her home

Teddi Mellencamp, star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and daughter of musician John Mellencamp, is reportedly the owner of the Los Angeles home where Pop Smoke was killed. According to TMZ, Teddi and her husband own multiple properties in Los Angeles, and it’s “possible Pop Smoke was renting” from them. That location was also the place where the rapper posed for pictures that may have attracted the attention of the wrong people.

“Just hours before he was gunned down, Pop Smoke mugged with a pal in a car — the friend holding a fortune in bills — in the driveway of the home where he was shot,” reported TMZ. The “four masked gunman” may have known where Pop Smoke was located because the rapper had reportedly revealed the address of the home when sharing images of gift bags.

Following the incident, Mellencamp took to Instagram to address the tragedy. She said she did not want to comment while “law enforcement officers [were] diligently doing their jobs.” However, she did share a sentiment that echoes what many others have said, writing, “Foremost, we would like to extend our prayers and condolences to the family and loved ones affected by this tragic loss of life.” Goodbye, Pop Smoke, and R.I.P.

The five food tweaks to make to save hundreds of calories

Dietitian shares the five food tweaks to make that will help you save hundreds of calories each week

  • A dietitian has explained how to cut you calorie intake by a few food tweaks
  • By portioning your food you can still eat what you enjoy and also lose weight
  • From cheese, oils, sauces and even coffee, it can all be managed and measured

An Australian dietitian has revealed the five small food tweaks to make that will hugely impact your daily calorie intake.

Susie Burrell, founder of popular website Shape Me, spoke on Sunrise, where she outlined how we can continue to eat the foods we enjoy as long as they are portion sized.

Susie explained how this simple size shift can save you eating hundreds or possibly thousands of calories each week.

Susie Burrell (pictured) explained how measuring your food can have a large impact when aiming to lose weight

SAUCES, OILS AND SPREADS

Many are often surprised to discover they are eating too many calories by using too much cooking oil or sauce.

‘Be mindful that when it comes to high fat additions, like mayonnaise and olive oil, you can really overdo the calories,’ Susie said.

When cooking, measure out the oil with a tablespoon and try stick to one spoonful, while with sauces or spreads stick to a 20 cent piece portion size.

CHEESES

Most people enjoy a decent slice of rich tasting cheese, though many often don’t know when to stop eating it.

Susie recommended thinly slicing the cheese, grating it or investing in a cheese slicer to reap the rewards and eat less calories.

By doing so you’ll save between 50 to 80 calories per serve of cheese.

MEAT PORTION

Different portion sizes for meats vary between different people depending on your height and gender.

‘In Australia we have enormous portions of meat. It’s not uncommon to see a T-bone steak served and, of course, we eat the whole portion,’ Susie said.

For women, the perfect size to aim for is a small hand or palm-sized portion, while for men the ideal size is roughly the size of a small hand.

By sticking to this, you can save yourself hundreds of calories.

SLICES OF BREAD

Bread is possibly one of the hardest foods to resist, but by eating small wholemeal grain bread you can save up to 50 calories per piece.

Susie explain how we should ‘go back’ to eating small, skinny pieces of bread, like what many parents used to have when they went to school.

COFFEE

If you’re someone who enjoys drinking multiple coffees throughout the day, consider changing your regular latte for a piccolo.

‘Every increase in cup size adds around 50 calories and more if you have sugar,’ Susie explained.

A regular coffee can have up to 220 calories while piccolo sized coffees only have around 40 calories.

Woman who waited until 41 to lose virginity reveals she is pregnant

Woman who waited until she was 41 to lose her virginity to ‘the right man’ reveals she is pregnant with her first child just months after their wedding

  • Amanda McCracken, 42, writer from Colorado, waited till she was 41 to have sex
  •  In the summer of 2018, Amanda finally met her match – a drummer named Dave
  • 10 months after they first met, she had sex for the first time in French Polynesia
  • Last week, on her birthday, she announced they are expecting their first baby

A woman who waited until she was 41 to lose her virginity has revealed she is expecting her first child with her husband.

Amanda McCracken, 42, a writer from Colorado, first revealed she was waiting for the right man to have sex with on US host Katie Couric’s chat show in 2014.

In the summer of 2018, Amanda finally met her match – a drummer named Dave – and 10 months after they first met, she had sex for the first time with him during a romantic holiday to French Polynesia last summer.

The happy couple got married two months later, and Amanda announced on Instagram last week that she is four months pregnant.

Taking to Instagram on her birthday, she wrote: ‘The following is possibly the best birthday announcement I’ve ever made.

‘Last July, Grandma Velda asked me when Dave and I would be getting married. ‘Maybe next July,’ I responded. ‘JULY?!?!’ she exclaimed, ‘You could have a baby by then!’

‘Well, guess what, friends – grandma’s prophecy has come true. We are expecting a baby end of July/early August! As of now, we are waiting until the birth to learn the sex, but we are in awe of our little one already.

‘At 6 weeks we heard the heartbeat, and at 11 weeks we saw the baby’s hand caressing its face. Next week marks 4 months (almost halfway!) and we are eager to see it swimming butterfly and backstroke’.

She joked of her pet dog: ”Pepper says she is excited about becoming a big sister. Let the next chapter begin! ‘

Speaking about why she decided to preserve her virginity this week, Amanda revealed to the BBC how her first couple of boyfriends left her for other women.

She admitted that for the first few decades after that she was ‘dating in fear’ and decided that if she was going to be left again, at least she’d ‘still have her virginity’ and be ‘in control’.

Speaking of when she lost her virginity, she said: ‘It was worth the wait but not in the way people would think. The sex was great, but the journey was never about the sex. I’m now with in a loving and committed relationship with a man who can offer me love’.

Amanda McCracken , 42, a writer from Colorado, first revealed she was waiting for the right man to have sex with on US host Katie Couric’s chat show in 2014 and even wrote a book about it

Amanda recently told Huffington Post how she’d been intimate with a number of men in her quest for love, but had never had sexual intercourse with them.

She said: By the time I was 40, I’d dated over 100 men. While I was intimate with over 50 of these men, I never had sexual intercourse with any of them. I wasn’t waiting for marriage or holding out for religious reasons.

‘I knew in my gut that I wanted to experience sexual intercourse within a mutually loving and committed relationship. That relationship just never came along.’

Revealing she had received backlash from both conservatives and feminists, she stuck by her decision not to ‘conform to society’.

Amanda then described the moment she knew she was ready to have sex, 10 months after her first date with divorcee Dave, who himself had not had sex for three years.

She said: ‘Ten months after our first date we flew to French Polynesia. Huahine, the second of five islands we visited, is known as the rebel island because it was the last of 118 to fall under French control. Upon arrival our taxi driver told us the island meant ‘the sex of the woman.’ This is the place, I thought.’

Describing her first time as ‘playful and awkward’, she admitted that the passion ‘grew’ as the couple continued to ‘practice’ throughout the day and holiday.

Dave proposed two months later, and Amanda sticks by her decision to wait, explaining that it was ‘never about the sex, but about waiting for the right man to come along’.

Five things you should do to stay safe on dating apps

Modern dating can feel like being lost at sea with the tide changing in every direction at a moment’s notice.

You don’t need to sit on the sidelines long before there’s been a massive cultural shift from the apps that are in vogue, to the way people communicate on them. Plus it’s understandable to feel wary of inviting strangers into an intimate part of your life.

Unfortunately, according to a survey by dating app The Inner Circle of 2,006 users, Brits only pluck up the courage to approach someone they fancy IRL once every 2.4 years so it looks like matching online is here to stay.

If you are going to find your future bae one swipe at a time, what can you do to make sure you’re doing it safely?

We caught up with the screeners at The Inner Circle – a team of Dutch mums who are responsible for checking over every profile before it’s allowed on the app and offer continued support to members on their journey to true love – to find out how to search for romance online safely and spot a suspicious profile.

Pay attention to what they say

You probably perused a person’s bio before matching with them so make sure the info they wrote in it lines up with what they say when you’re messaging.

Jacqueline Boelen, Security and Support Specialist, tells Metro.co.uk: ‘If you talk to them make sure that what it says on their About Me page aligns with the things that they tell you in the conversation, that’s definitely an easy but important one,’

If anything they say feels off, listen to that feeling, Annabel Seusan, Head of Security and Support, adds: ‘They’re talking to you but they don’t write good English or they immediately start up with like these big stories, like “oh my mom, she’s really sick and she’s in a hospital” and you know… Always, always follow your gut feeling.

‘I think you always kind of know or sense what is strange.’

Check their job title

‘We noticed that a lot of people don’t put in their real job titles and they make up fun job titles like dolphin trainer, moonwalker, rocket scientist,’ Annabel says.

Of course, there may be a large and varied community of dolphin trainers across the UK, but if they have made up a gag job not only could it be a bit of a red flag that they’re not who they say they are, but it could be a sign that they’re not serious about finding love.

‘We really want people to be authentic about who they are,’ Annabel adds.

Reverse search their pictures

Any avid viewer of MTV’s Catfish will know what to do if pictures look too good to be true, but for the unanointed Jacqueline explains: ‘Another way of verifying is to do a Google search image.’

By reverse image searching on Google Images, you’ll find any other pages those pictures have been used which could lead to a totally different Facebook page.

Annabel continues: ‘If a profile looks too good to be true we always search the picture on Google Images to make sure that it’s the real person themselves or we cross-check with Instagram. Lots of people add their Instagram account when they register or they write it in their about me section.’

They should want to pursue you

When you’re both interested in each other, the next logical step should be getting to know each other better and then hopefully taking things offline.

If that’s something you want to do and they seem hesitant, this can be cause for concern according to Annabel.

She says: ‘If they don’t want to do a video chat with you or get on the phone with you or they’re always finding an excuse not to meet up – those are major red flags.’

Go public

It’s exciting when you do arrange a date, and definitely something you’ll want to dissect in the group chat after, but letting your pals know a few details before you head out can help you feel a bit more secure.

Jacqueline says this can be as simple as telling your friends: ‘I’m going on a date, call you later’.

Support Manager, Sarah Ciolina suggests arranging your date at a restaurant or bar you’ve been to before so you know what to expect: ‘I think meet in a public place that you already know.

‘Perhaps even ask your friends if they are around. Never go to someone’s house on a first date. Don’t exclude yourself, just go out somewhere in public.’

Why You Never Got to Hear a Justin Bieber/Ed Sheeran/Bruno Mars Song

Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran collaborated on a song called “I Don’t Care” which became one of the biggest hits in either artist’s career. Many assumed Sheeran just worked with Bieber because they’re both so prominent. Actually, a classic song inspired Sheeran to want to work with Bieber. Here’s what Sheeran had to say.

Ed Sheeran was inspired by…Christina Aguilera?

“Lady Marmalade” is a classic soul/disco song from the 1970s. It was one of the numerous pop and rock hits featured in Baz Luhrmann’s musical film Moulin Rouge! In order to promote the film, a dream team of female artists covered the song, specifically Christina Aguilera, Pink, Mýa, and Lil’ Kim. This cover introduced the song to a new generation and remains the gold standard for pop star collaborations.

Apparently, the song was so huge it influenced a musician in a completely different genre: Ed Sheeran. Sheeran cited the track as the inspiration behind his album No.6 Collaborations Project. Paper reports Sheeran explained the idea behind the album in an interview with Charlamagne Tha God.

Sheeran said “This project actually started with one idea I had which was — you remember ‘Lady Marmalade,’ right? This is such a silly idea — I had an idea of doing that, like you could get Bruno, Bieber and me on a record, how fun would that be?” Whereas “Lady Marmalade” brought together several female musicians, Sheeran apparently wanted to do the same with several male musicians.

How Ed Sheeran’s collaborations with Justin Bieber and Bruno Mars came together

Sheeran elaborated “The first person I rung was Bruno and he was just like, ‘Let’s just do a song together, just us,’ and that’s how it happened.” Sheeran, Mars, and Chris Stapleton would collaborate for a hard rock/blues rock song called “Blow,” though the proposed Sheeran/Bieber/Mars collaboration was not to be.

Sheeran continued “So then I did a song with Bruno and I did a song with Bieber and these individual songs started happening and then it turned into a project…It was a really good experience putting the record together.” Though Sheeran didn’t get to create the Bieber collaboration he initially intended, he did work with Bieber on “I Don’t Care.”

According to iHeartRadio, Sheeran enjoyed crafting No.6 Collaborations Project. Discussing the record, Sheeran said “I made this because it was so much fun to make and it was all the artists I wanted to work with, and I made these songs that I was just so proud to play to my friends. The fact is, I’ve already achieved more than I thought I could, so now I’m at a point where I’m just having fun.”

Sheeran didn’t get to make the song with Bieber and Mars that he originally intended. However, the song he did make with Bieber and Mars were fan favorites. Just because things don’t go the way you plan doesn’t mean they can’t go well.

When and where to see this weekend’s super snow moon

The decade’s first supermoon called the super snow moon is shining this weekend.

Here’s how and when to see it, and what differentiates a supermoon from other full moons.

What is a super snow moon

February’s full moon is also a supermoon, meaning the moon is both full and at its closest point to the Earth in its orbit, this closest point is called its “perigee,” which makes the moon look larger, Space.com reported.

In lunar calendars, moons are often named for the seasons — hence wintry February’s moon being named super snow moon. Native Americans have several names for February’s full moon, including the Cherokee moniker “Bone Moon,” referencing the lack of food during the month, and the Wishram people’s “Shoulder to Shoulder Around the Fire Moon,” according to the Old Farmer’s Almanac.

When to see it

The planetary delight will be visible on the night of Feb. 8, peaking in the wee hours of Feb. 9, according to the Old Farmer’s Almanac. Peak fullness will be at 2:34 a.m. on Sunday, depending on where you are, although it’ll be easier to see around midnight Saturday when it’s reached its highest point in the sky.

Visibility also depends on clear weather.

Where to see it

The moon will be visible in the Northern Hemisphere. Those in the eastern US, particularly along the East Coast, have the best shot at seeing it, Space.com reports.

Other upcoming supermoons

There will be a total of four supermoons this year: the next one coming in March, followed by supermoons in April and May, AccuWeather reports.

Yet not all viewers were outraged and some fans defended Eamonn, insisting that he was just trying to ‘lighten the mood’.

‘I have been coming to terms with the fact that I am gay’: Phillip’s statement in full

You never know what’s going on in someone’s seemingly perfect life, what issues they are struggling with, or the state of their wellbeing – and so you won’t know what has been consuming me for the last few years. With the strength and support of my wife and my daughters, I have been coming to terms with the fact that I am gay.

‘This is something that has caused many heart-breaking conversations at home. I have been married to Steph for nearly 27 years, and we have two beautiful grown-up daughters, Molly and Ruby…

‘My family have held me so close: they have tried to cheer me up, to smother me with kindness and love, despite their own confusion. Yet still I can’t sleep and there have been some very dark moments.

‘My inner conflict contrasts with an outside world that has changed so very much for the better. Today, quite rightly, being gay is a reason to celebrate and be proud. Yes, I am feeling pain and confusion, but that comes only from the hurt that I am causing to my family..

‘Steph has been incredible – I love her so very much. She is the kindest soul I have ever met. My girls have been astonishing in their love, hugs and encouraging words of comfort. Both mine and Steph’s entire families have stunned me with their love, instant acceptance and support.

‘Of course they are worried about Steph but I know they will scoop us both us.

‘My friends are the best, especially Holly, who has been so kind and wise – and who has hugged me as I sobbed on her shoulder. At ITV, I couldn’t hope to work with more wonderful, supportive teams…

‘Every day on This Morning, I sit in awe of those we meet who have been brave and open in confronting their truth – so now it’s my turn to share mine. This will probably all come as something and I understand, but only by facing this, by being honest, can I hope to find peace in my mind and a way forward. Please be kind, especially to my family. Phillip’.

Another show watcher put: ‘Eamonn Holmes lifting the mood perfectly- saying he always wondered how Phillip got away with getting in a hot tub with Holly and their partners not kicking off [crying laughing emojis] High 5 to #PhillipSchofield #ThisMorning.’

While a different account added: ‘Good ol Eamonn Holmes “I thought the big news was that you were going to resign” ROFL #phillipschofield #ThisMorning.’

Friends? Also during Friday’s This Morning, Ruth threw her arms around Phillip as they appeared to put their feud to bed after he came out as gay

Happy families: Following his announcement, Ruth, 59, and Eamonn, 60, joined Phil and Holly on screen and offered them both a hug before sitting down on the sofa

Support: Eamonn  posted a message of support to Phillip and said a ‘new chapter awaits’ for the presenter since his announcement

Following his announcement, Ruth, 59, and Eamonn, 60, joined Phil and Holly on screen and offered them both a hug before sitting down on the sofa.

After wrapping her arms around Phil, Ruth could be heard asking him if he felt ‘better’ after telling viewers the truth about his sexuality, which he claimed had been ‘filling his head’ for a long time now.

During his impassioned announcement, Phil revealed that he was getting to the stage where he ‘no longer liked himself’, which may have been a reference to his ongoing row with Ruth.

Fuming: Ruth and husband Eamonn have reportedly been involved in a high-profile rift with Phillip after he interrupted her while she was presenting a preview for the show via a video link-up last year (pictured at the NTAs)

Ruth is said to have previously made a formal complaint against him due to the ‘toxic’ backstage atmosphere the alleged feud has created.

However it seems judging by their friendly display during the latest episode of the daytime TV show that their bitter feud has been dispelled by Phil’s announcement.

Moments before the show, Phil took to his Instagram Story to share a lengthy statement about how he has decided to come out as gay.

Beginning the statement, Phil penned: ‘You never know what’s going on in someone’s seemingly perfect life, what issues they are struggling with, or the state of their wellbeing – and so you won’t know what he has been consuming me for the last few years.

‘With the strength and support of my wife and my daughters, I have been coming to terms with the fact that I am gay.’

Ruth and Eamonn have reportedly been involved in a high-profile rift with Phil, after he interrupted her while she was presenting a preview for the show via a video link-up last year.

Reports have long been rife about troubles between the TV hosts, with the latest detail of the story claiming Amanda Holden headed to the top by lobbying ITV executives over the animosity after Phil allegedly pushed for Rochelle Humes to take the job.

Last year, Phil was accused of creating a ‘toxic atmosphere’ for his This Morning co-stars, with allegations of ongoing spats with Holly and stand-in hosts Ruth and Eamonn.

It is claimed eight different ITV presenters have broken their silence regarding Phillip’s attitude, while Ruth is thought to have made a formal complaint to ITV’s new head of daytime TV Emma Gormley.

Tense: Eamonn was been accused of ‘snatching’ This Morning’s NTA gong out Phillip’s hand at the awards bash last week

It followed an incident in April which saw Phillip interrupt Ruth while she was presenting a preview of Loose Women during This Morning.

As This Morning scooped top prize in the Live Magazine Show category at the NTAs, Ruth, who was seated behind Phillip and Holly with her co-presenter Eamonn, made her way to the stage at London’s O2 Arena.

And viewers couldn’t help but point out the ‘frosty’ and ‘awkward’ interaction between the TV personalities, following reports that Ruth filed a formal complaint with ITV bosses in December about Phil.

‘It’s funny because, everyone I’ve spoken to, you, have all been so supportive and so loving and caring.

‘And my entire family to a person have grabbed us and said it’s OK, it’s OK, we love you, we’re proud of you.

‘And every person I tell it gets a little lighter and a little lighter but at the same time, you know, I have made this decision which is essential for me and essential for my head and that’s principally the decision why I’ve done this.

‘Of course I’m really very aware that Steph and the girls are at home watching this and we’re all together, and we spent a lot of time together, we spend a lot of time together obviously.

‘And they’ve been supporting us as we got to this moment and we all knew it was coming.

TV presenter Phillip Schofield on ITV’s This Morning talking with Holly Willoughby today about his announcement that he is gay

‘So, yeah, I mean I feel a little lighter, but I’m also very aware, there’s no question that it causes pain and it causes upset. I’ve no secrets. We’ve never had any secrets. Tough, it is tough, but this is not something that’s happened quickly. I’ve had to deal with this in my head for quite some time.

‘We’ve gone through this together and we’ve been honest and we’ve been open. Steph, as I said, I can’t write in any statement what I feel about that women.

‘She is amazing, she’s incredible. There’s no one in my life who would have supported me the way, as a wife, as the way she supported me. She’s astonishing, literally astonishing.

‘It’s a good question (why now). You know this has been bothering me for a very long time and I think everybody does these things at their own speed, at their own time, when they feel the time is right.

‘And there’s no question that it has in recent times consumed my head and has become an issue in my head.

‘And so I got to the stage where I thought we sit here every day, and I’m over there and some amazingly brave incredible person is sitting here, and I’m listening to their story and thinking ‘oh my God, you’re so brave, oh my God, you’re so brave’.

‘And I’m thinking ‘I have to be that person, I have to be that person’. I think all you can be in your life is honest with yourself. I was getting to the point where I knew I wasn’t honest with myself, I was getting to the point where I didn’t like myself very much because I wasn’t being honest with myself.

‘And so, when is the right time, when is the right time to do it? And as a family, it’s the right time.

‘There are people around the world, there are people in this country, there will be people watching this, and we always say talk to someone, and believe me, believe me, when we say that and we do say that a lot on this show, you must talk to someone, you must talk to someone, i have and it’s helped a lot.

‘And it’s brought me back – i mentioned those dark places in the statement – talking to people does bring you back. And in some cases talking to people saves you. You have to discuss it, with my friends, with my family, with my wife, we’ve talked it through – and we have to talk it through.

‘This is my decision, this is absolutely my decision. It was something I knew that I had to do. And I don’t know what the world will be like now – I don’t know how this will be taken, or what people will think.

He said: ‘But at the same time I will sit here and say actually, I’m proud of myself today. And I am proud of myself today’

‘But would I say is that yes, I am very conscious of the hurt, and so my overriding emotion with my family is obviously going to be guilt, because I do feel guilty that this can’t be anything other than a painful process for them.

‘But at the same time I will sit here and say actually, I’m proud of myself today. And I am proud of myself today. It wasn’t easy but they (my daughters) were, they are so amazing in their love and support.

‘I sat them down and I told them and they jumped up and they gave me a hug, a big hug, a long hug, and then they hugged Steph and they said it’s OK, we’ll be OK, we’ll always be a family, always us four, is what we always call ourselves. We’ll always be that.

‘It was the same with my mum, my mum is watching this today. She’s been on the phone this morning – hope you’re OK. I went down to see her, she’s down in Cornwall, and I went down to see her. And I told her and she said ‘oh, OK, well, I don’t care’ – and that’s the same with everyone.

‘No I don’t think so (thinking about future relationships) – I’m not thinking there. I’m doing each day at a time now, this has always been a slow process and there is no fast process after this.

‘This was the big day and this was the day that I knew everything was pointing towards and I could not have don’t it if it ha

Love Island’s Alexi used to date last year’s Casa Amor bombshell Joanna Chimonides – The Sun

Love Island new boy Alexi Eraclides will know exactly what the show entails when he joins tonight – because he used to date Joanna Chimonides.

The Sun Online can exclusively reveal that the 23-year-old butler in the buff dated the fellow islander, 23, when they were younger during their time at school.

A source told us: "Jo and Alexi were at school together and dated a little while back.

"It was nothing serious but they're still mates so no doubt she'll have given him loads of tips on making it through the Casa Amor stages and into the main show."

Although the hunk makes a living out of showing off his hard rock abs as he serves food and drink to girls at parties, he's still not been able to find the right girl he'd like to settle down with.

However, sparks could fly between Alexi and Jess Gale, 20, considering they have previously met outside the villa.

"I’ve met Jess on a night out before, we exchanged Instagrams then we sent a few messages but nothing came of it.

"It’ll be interesting to see how we get on when we meet again," he said.

The VIP hostess is currently being perused by Mike Botateng, 24, but Alexi has made it clear that he's not afraid to step on the police officers toes to get what he wants.

"I’m ruthless! I’m not worried about loyalty, I don’t mind stepping on anyone’s toes. If I want something I’m going to go for it, especially if there’s a girl I’ve got my eyes on.

"I want someone funny, fit and flirty. Attraction is important to me but also I like someone who is not stuck up or too timid because I’m quite outgoing. I want someone to bounce off," he added.

Fans of the popular ITV2 reality show can expect more drama on tonight's episode as six new girls steam into Casa Amor – leaving Callum's head well and truly turned.

One of the new girls, 25-year-old Molly Smith, makes a move on the fellow Manchunian soon after they move into the secret villa.

Viewers of the show are convinced that the scaffolder will dump the democratic services officer, 25, after he's shown himself to have a bit of a wandering eye.

Queen: Was This the Secret to Freddie Mercury's Best Live Performance?

Queen‘s performance at Live Aid is one of the most iconic performances in the history of music. Even many casual music fans are familiar with the image of Freddie Mercury performing in his white T-shirt. Over the decades, many performers have tried to emulate Mercury’s stage presence and charisma. A major rock star revealed what he thinks was the key to Mercury’s iconic Live Aid performance.

1990s rock legend has lots to say about Freddie Mercury

Dave Grohl is one of the icons of 1990s rock. Thanks to his time with Nirvana and the Foo Fighters, he has secured his place in the music history books. Although he is a legendary musician in his own right, Grohl admires Mercury greatly.

In an NPR interview, Grohl said “The bands that get up on stage and play like it’s the last night of their lives are the ones I have a lot of respect for.” Artists he cited as exemplary were Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen, and Queen’s Freddie Mercury. Grohl certainly enjoys the classics!

Grohl had some advice for other bands. “Every band should study Queen at Live Aid. If you really feel like that barrier is gone, you become Freddie Mercury. I consider him the greatest frontman of all time.” Considering that rock has given us frontment like John Lennon, Mick Jagger, and Kurt Cobain, that’s high praise indeed!

Dave Grohl’s insight into what made Queen awesome

Grohl has particular admiration for a certain moment of Live Aid. “Like, it’s funny? You’d imagine that Freddie was more than human, but…you know how he controlled Wembley Stadium at Live Aid in 1985? He stood up there and did his vocal warm-ups with the audience. Something that intimate, where they realize, ‘Oh yeah, he’s just a f*cking dude.”

This isn’t the first time Grohl expressed admiration for Queen. According to AXS, he helped introduce the band into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001. Grohl opined “From ragtime to space-rock, opera to funk, punk rock to arena rock, there were no boundaries to what Queen could do.” At the same ceremony, Grohl’s bandmate Taylor Hawkins said “Queen were my first live concert and every concert since has been a bit of a letdown.”

The Foo Fighter’s longstanding admiration for Queen

The Foo Fighters have covered a number of Queen songs, including “Under Pressure,” “We Will Rock You,” “‘39,” and “Tie Your Mother Down.” “Under Pressure” and “We Will Rock You” are two of the most famous rock songs ever composed, so it’s no surprise the Foo Fighters are familiar with them. However, you have to be a dedicated Queen fan to know the band’s bizarre science fiction-themed folk rock song “‘39.”

Mercury was a larger-than-life figure, perhaps a larger-than-larger-than-life figure. Fans love him for his charisma, stage presence, and antics. However, there was a nugget of wisdom in Grohl’s words. Sometimes, all an artist has to do to impress is appear human.
