Ava Evans ‘hasn’t had an apology yet’ after Laurence Fox’s sexiest on-air jibe
Political correspondent Ava Evans claims she still hasn't received an apology from Laurence Fox following the vile comments he made about her on GB News.
Laurence, 45, has since been suspended by the broadcaster and an investigation has been launched after his rant with presenter Dan Wooten caused controversy. TV watchdog Ofcom also received a number of complaints from viewers after the incident occurred.
Speaking to host Dan, Laurence said: "Show me a single self-respecting man that would like to climb into bed with that woman ever, ever, who wasn’t an incel. We need powerful, strong amazing women who make great points for themselves. We don’t need these sort of feminist 4.0. They’re pathetic and embarrassing. Who’d want to s**g that?"

Laurence, who also has his own self-titled show on the news channel, described Ava as a "little woman". His words were later described as "totally unacceptable" by the TV channel.
Sharing her thoughts on the matter since then, Ava headed over to X, formerly known as Twitter to give fans an update. She wrote: "I haven't had an apology yet if anyone was wondering."
Ava then added: "Really, really grateful to every person who reached out to me. From MPs, to journalists, to friends and people on here.
"I'm overwhelmed by how kind people have been. I'm also immensely grateful to the incredibly courageous people who spoke out despite working on the station."
During the unacceptable exchange that took place between the two men on GB News, they both could be heard laughing, Laurence then said: "Sorry, it's true though."
Dan then remarked: "I’m just going to provide a touch of balance from her because she did actually respond to this earlier today, saying that she regretted her comments, but she didn’t apologise. So there you go. And she’s a very beautiful woman Laurence, very beautiful."
On Wednesday (September 27), Broadcaster GB News issued a statement which read: "GB News has formally suspended Laurence Fox while we continue our investigation into comments he made on the channel last night. Mr Fox's suspension is effective immediately and he has been taken off air.
They also added that they aim to apologise to journalist Ava. The cooperation added: "We will be apologising formally to Ms Evans today."
Following on from this, GB News released a statement to also confirm that presenter Dan had also been suspended. They wrote: "GB News has suspended Dan Wootton following comments made on his programme by Laurence Fox last night.
"This follows our decision earlier today to formally suspend Mr Fox. We are conducting a full investigation."
