Coronation Street’s Bernie prison exit confirmed as Gemma vows to get revenge

Coronation Street favourite Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) finds out her fate in upcoming scenes.

The family are left devastated next week as she's sentenced to three months behind bars and is told she has to serve at least half. A furious Gemma Winter-Brown (Dolly-Rose Campbell) lures Big Garth (Victor McGuire) to Victoria Street.

Back at No 5 Joseph Brown (William Flanagan) complains of a headache. As Gemma finds some painkillers, she hears a knock at the door. She’s taken aback to find it’s Caitlin. As Caitlin takes in the scene, she’s deeply unimpressed. Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) calls at the flower shop flat, apologises to Gemma for having a go at her and tells her how much he loves her. Gemma dissolves into tears and hugs him tightly. She is worried when he says Linda Hancock (Jacqueline Leonard) is coming to stay.

She then had to share the heartbreaking news with Paul and Gemma that she could be jailed for as much as six months. Understandably, her kids were devastated. How will the react to the prison sentence?
