Craig Revel Horwood fires back after being ‘corrected’ by Strictly viewer
Craig Revel Horwood had plan to retire at 50
Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood proved just as pithy to a fan of the show as he does to the celebrities when one attempted to correct him online.
Referring to his use of the term “barrel roll” in his critique of Bobby Brazier and Dianne Buswell’s Charleston last night, a viewer wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, calling him out.
Tagging him in the post, they said: “@CraigRevHorwood come on Craigy you know it’s a Barrell Turn not a Barrell Roll #StrictlyCome Dancing.”(sic)
Craig was having none of it however and reposted the criticism responding: ”Barrell roll when it lands on the floor just saying.”(sic)
The exchange came after he gave his comments on the couple’s high-octane Charleston to Do Your Thing by Basement Jaxx, which opened Saturday night’s show.

After telling them that they need to “engage and exaggerate” and that their “knees could be higher”, he offered some praise.“Swivel was fantastic, loved the backspin and barrel roll,” he said.
The couple ultimately scored 29 points for the dance which included a seven from Craig.
Prior to the routine, which contained an impressive two lifts as part of the choreography, Bobby was seen struggling in rehearsal footage.
An irritated Bobby was seen screeching: “Slow Down Dianne!” at his flame-haired dance partner.
The 20-year-old star seemed to have recovered from his rehearsal wobble for the show though as he managed to keep up for the whole song.

Bobby was the favourite to win the competition ahead of last night’s dance according to Ladbrokes, just ahead of week one’s leaderboard topper Nigel Harman.
The pair have impressed judges, viewers, and seemingly punters alike, and are streets ahead of the rest with Bobby at 9/4, while Nigel is a 10/3 shot.
Elsewhere, Angela Scanlon and Ellie Leach are 6/1 apiece, while Les Dennis and Nikita Kanda are the rank outsiders right now at 66/1.
However, that could change this evening as the first of the eliminations takes place as the public vote is added to the judges’ marks and two of the celebrities will find themselves in the dreaded dance-off.
Strictly Come Dancing results show is on BBC One at 7.15pm.
