‘My nude resort is like erotic Disneyland – but boring topic ruins sexy vibe’

The owner of an erotic nudist resort dubbed "Disneyland for adults" has revealed there's one thing that can ruin the sexy vibe at the "liberating" retreat.

Dewey Wohl opened the Sea Mountain Nudist Resort and Spa, which has locations in Las Vegas and Palm Springs, 20 years ago. He founded the resort with his wife to give people with an "open sense of sexuality" somewhere to let go and have fun.

Couples heading to the retreat must strip off to enter the "sensual" spa area where they're free to get intimate with each other, or even other guests, wherever they please.

The raunchy resort has plenty of facilities to entertain randy guests, including mineral water pools, Jacuzzis, and a 24-hour dance club fitted with a "huge" round bed and stripper poles. Dewey claims the private resort is even a popular spot among A-list celebrities, who love participating in the "intimate experience".

But while his guests include celebs, he also explains that Sea Mountain operates on a concept of acceptance for all different types of people, leading to a diverse crowd who enjoy mingling with each other.

Speaking exclusively to Daily Star, he said: "You might find a morbidly obese person, woman, next to a woman that had a double mastectomy, next to a world-famous supermodel, next to a Bollywood female celebrity and those people either might have a husband, partner, spouse or girlfriend but they're all talking – unlike other clubs or other beach clubs where people tend to judge."

Dewey said the crowd often get along so well they become friends outside the resort too. He explained: "Some of these people, they stay friends for life.

"These are people in their 50s, 60s, 70s, who find a couple or group of people, they end up traveling around the world with them because they had this intimate experience. Now, some of them also have sexual relations and at some point, they become like old friends because they've known each other for so long."

But while the intimate experiences can foster life-long friendships, Dewey revealed the diversity of his guests can lead to one issue that ruins the sexy atmosphere – differing political opinions. He explained it can be a "total buzz kill" when someone tries to talk about politics with other people at the resort.

"This naked thing is so liberating the conversations people have are different too. For example, you shouldn't talk about religion, shouldn't talk about politics and people try to refrain from that," Dewey said.

Despite most guests avoiding the controversial topics, some people can't help but bring up politics. This can lead to "discourse" while couples are trying to have fun "in a tub or super nightclub".

"They might say 'I'm totally conservative and there's a democratic thing that's bothering me.' In this naked kind of environment, you can't have it, it just kills the vibe," he said.

He added: "So even though sometimes it happens it's really hard to be naked, to be sexy when someone is the opposite political background but they let you know it, you know the joke 'how can you tell if someone is a vegetarian, don't worry they'll tell you'.

"So some of those more striped political people they might and that's a total buzz kill."
