Here’s top marks from me for M&S: Chic List columnist Joanne Hegarty hadn’t shopped in Marks & Spencer for years. But the first collection by new head of womenswear Maddy Evans has definitely persuaded her back. These are the pieces she loves

The relaxed tailoring of this wool pinstripe suit is bang on trend and a standout favourite. Wearing it with loafers adds edge. This is just the thing for the office.

M&S also stocks British brand Jaeger and this chocolate brown leather jacket has the right autumnal feel. For a tonal look, I’ve paired it with a rollneck and some smart tailored trousers.
